Mass Effect Movie ROLES! pick actors that would do justice.

Most of the asari characters should be played by models who also act. Rebecca Romijn would make a good Benezia. Older model/actresses like her and Heidi Klum would make good Matron and Matriarch characters like Samara, the Asari Councilor (Tevos?), Aria, etc. Younger models would make good Maiden characters like Liara, Nelyna, etc. Any of the stable of Victoria's Secret models would be fine for young asari, Selita Ebanks, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, etc. Actually, some young actresses like Dakota Fanning, Kristen Stewart, and Emma Watson would also make good asari Maidens. There would probably need to be some CGI involved in making these characters work, if nothing else to digitally remove the actresses' ears, for those asari whose head tentacles are more flat against the head.
Other non-humans should be CGI with really good motion capture, people in costumes would just not look convincing. The existing voice actors would be fine for these roles in most cases.

*Sirtis' VO work as Benezia wasn't anything special in my opinion. I know I've seen several fans on here complain about her performance in Mass Effect. Not having her in the Mass Effect movie wouldn't be too disappointing.
*Keith David is one of my favorite VAs, but I'm not so sure he would be an ideal fit for a live-action Anderson. He’s not really the imposing athletic older marine-type that Anderson should be IMO. I know David has a lot of experience portraying authority figures and military-types in his career, but it's difficult to picture Anderson with a physique like David’s (he's not exactly in the best shape of his life).
*My take on voice actors like Keener, Sroka, Barr and Tatasciore in the Mass Effect Movie… I kind of doubt they'll be in it. I'm guessing the movie's casting director will want to bring in new talent for a couple of reasons....
-To make the characters more unique and not just end up as a rehash/retake of previous dialogue/scenes.
New actors = different takes on the characters = something unpredictable and not just a carbon copy of the game. Yeah, there's the nostalgic factor with the old VAs returning, but I’m sure they want to differentiate the movie from the game by having fresh performances.
-The movie's casting director may disagree with some of the casting decisions Chris Borders and Caroline Livingstone made. The CD also may not be too keen on casting actors like Sroka, Keener and Barr who don't have experience as main characters in wide-release movies on their resumes (I know, we're talking about VO-only roles, but still, I'm sure there are quite a few Hollywood execs that don't think much of professional VAs).

I don't know why, but I can see Jewel Staite (Kayleigh from Firefly/Serenity) being a good Shepard.
(Granted, I'm paying to see it regardless)

Please no Sam Worthington in ME. The guy simply can not act. But I would not be shocked if he gets cast. The guy has been in a few huge blockbusters the past year.jason9880 wrote...

What the hell does everyone see in this man?
I'm sorry: Mini rant coming.
I have yet to read one review from a reputable journal on film that praises his acting, charm or grace. I mean, every single thing I've looked at has basically commented, "well Sam, he's alright in it I suppose". The movies he has been in may have been praised through the roof, but never really Worthington himself. I think the only talent he seems to have is looking like he should be in action movies. This wouldn't sound so bad, (hey what else do you expect from an action star?) but even The Rock has polished some of the turds he's been in up a star or a half with a dose of his charisma. Not only would I feel annoyed if the role of Shepard, a character that will have to show the burden of carrying humanity's place in the universe single-handedly, was to be played by a man with the emotional range of a turnip, I would groan at the thought of having to see Worthington trying to look like he's deep in thought in yet another film. It only resembles someone on the loo with a heavy bread based diet struggling with the strain.
Sorry, had to vent
Please continue.
And for the bloke who thought I suggested Michelle Forbes for Benezia because of chest lady canyons or some phrase like that? Have you seen Forbes' cleavage section? Its hardly Mt. Everest looking at himself in the mirror. I just think she does evil and bi-atchy quite well!
By the way, any other thoughts on my choices? Too random? I thought lesser known actors would allow the new fantasy setting to breathe.

That would be me. It was more a joke asking if you were just against her (Marina Sirtis) being Benezia because she wasnt well-endowed enough. I really didnt even factor Forbes or anything else past that into the response.

Heh I know dude, tis cool. Was speaking back in humour as well. As we all know. Message boards are awful for getting tone right. Which is why memes are the new language I suppose.
Just not sold on Sirtis though. In the blue outfit she'll have to rely a hell of a lot more on body language which she definitely is weak on. Maybe she can voice a mime?

I actually really like this suggestion. I can see it. Keith David is too black to play Anderson anyway.
