I am so annoyed with Kardol of the Legion Of The Dead...lol
Every time i fail to get him to become an ally for the final battle.
I wanted to throw a fireball at him the last time i spoke to him.
No matter what i do (or say) he won't agree.
Anyone know just how to get him on the surface?

I thought Oghren was bad enough...but this guy is a pain.

How high is your Coercion when you try to recruit him outside the Assembly?

Oh, i was trying to recruit him in the deep roads (dead trenches ) whatever. I didn't realise he was outside the assembly. How did he get there ?
I thought he stayed in the deep roads.

Try playing a dwarf.Y ou don't even need to talk him into it then as he volunteers.

LOL, yep you can only recruit him once you have crowned a king, he will stop and talk to you and that's when you can recruit him with the Legion of the Dead.

Oh ok, thanks Triplight. Point of interest...word travels fast. He must of had a hired messenger to tell him to run to him if there is any new developments in Oz

Speaking of Kardol, is there supposed to be some dialogue with him when you first meet him? Because I could only get him to talk once he and his legion had crossed the bridge and all the darkspawn were defeated, and the way he talked gave me the impression that this was supposed to be his second dialogue.

Yeah, it gets difficult when you have all those darkspawn constantly aggroing them. They need to not be in their battle-ready positions in order for him to talk. Sometimes I just repeatedly click on him and get lucky. Sometimes I clear halfway to the bridge and come back to see if that did the trick.

Just avoid crossing the bridge completely and fight off the annoyingly many waves of darkspawn that run right into your sword. Eventually, Kardol will relax a bit and you can talk to him.

I cleared the bridge and the space beyond then ran back halfway on the bridge when Kardol and his legion came running towards me. They eventually stopped just past the other side of the bridge and relaxed. It was there that i talked to Kardol and tried to recruit him.

But i know what to do next time...thanks all

Kardol is l33t!

In the final battle I used him in the dwarves in the Alienage, I think he killed as many spawn as I did!



BTW I belive three ranks will pass the check.

I finished Paragon of Her Kind and crowned the king (Harrowment) but I can't find him anywhere in the diamond quarters and in front of the Assembly??? Is there something else I needed to do to get him there?

he should be there as soon as you get out of the assembly after crowning the king. if you missed him and he's gone...you're SoL

If you clear the waves with him and his fighters you get a dialog about being able to clear the Darkspawn on the other side and they will hold the bridge for you. Once you clear them they will cross the bridge and you get the secound dialoge. I wouldn't be suprised if they are both needed to get him out side of the assembly when you crown the king, but my playthrough I just finished I rushed the bridge and just got the secound part and was still able to get him out side the assembly.
