The characters shouldn't have anything to do with the Keep surviving. Vigil's Keep has its own portion of the epilogue. The characters you leave behind should be able to all die while Vigil's Keep remains standing.

Should, but doesn't. Hence my vexation. I will just have to overwrite it with my imagination - now that I know it is at least possible and not my fault, since I did everything you listed both times. I even got both merchants to come bring trade just for good measure.

either Bio should have made it where the Warden gets back to Vigils only minutes before the invading Darkspawn Army or during the course of the last stage in the game you act out how Demerin was done: the Warden and his party at the Archdemon and the rest of the Group defending the city from wave after wave.

Vigil's Keep has fallen many times in the past but it has always been rebuilt - that is part of its lasting legacy. No matter how many times it falls, there will always be those vigilant to raise it up once again.

Amaranthine must NOT fall. It is the center of commerce and culture in the area and a base of operations. It also has a lot of history associated with it and would be loss morally for the civilian population.

It's also very heart-wrenching to watch the peasants flee from the fire arrows that impale them as I walk away in despair. Just a little heads up on that, it pains one.

I think what it came down to was sacrificing your keep to save innocent lives at the village. In the end, you were rewarded for making the selfless decision. Just as a quick sidenote... was anyone else terrified by this?

Yes. Terrified and a little grossed out. That is way beyond the need for therapy right there.

Good to know it wasn't just me, then. Scared the hell out of me first time i saw it.
