I just bought mass effect 2 and I can't read about 80% of the text because it is so small. I'm presuming that this is because I have a standard definition tv and I was wondering if anyone knows any tips that makes it easier to read ig text on a standard def tv (examples changing the tint or changing some option in the game).

SD tv's are having some text reading problems. It seems that the 720p (HD) and higher settings fix the "issue". and bioware knows about this issue just they can't fix it without doing a HUGE patch or a recall on all Mass Effect 2 Xbox discs.

ya i just read about the problem, looks like i either need to hook it up to my comp monitor, find a friend to buy the game from me, or just soldier on

Yeah, I don't think BioWare is going to do anything about this. SDTVs are near ancient, and since all that is out are HDTVs there isn't really a big motivation to fix this problem.

ya, I wouldn't expect them too. I know a lot of developers tend to make the text in games these days very small, even my friend with (I think) a 1080p 38 inch hdtv complains about the small text in other games (not because he can't see it but just because it's annoying to read something that small). I just didn't expect bioware to follow this trend considering that neither ME1 nor Dragon Age (which came out only a few months earlier I believe) had that small of text. But I'm not a game developer so I don't know what they had to go through that forced them to make the text that small.
