I forgot what its called but in the eagle nebula there is a space station side mission and I dont have back up to exit the mission but my game is crashing whenever I adjust the mirror panels.
I need help, I am running Windows Vista, I already checked my drivers and they are all good and up to date. Has anybody else had this issue? Also if it matters I got Mass Effect 2 off of Steam.
Game crashes when adjusting panels to change laser beam direction on space station

You cannot get any support for any onboard video chip such as a 9100, sorry. It's not supposed to work at all.
Come back when you have a game-capable system, either a better laptop, if that's what you have, or a proper video card, if it's a desktop.
MINIMUM Graphics
Video Card = 256 MB (with Pixel Shader 3.0 support). Supported GPU Chips: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 or greater; ATI Radeon X1600 Pro or greater. Please note that NVIDIA GeForce 7100, 7200, 7300, 7400, 7500, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, 9100, 9200, and 9300; ATI Radeon X1300, HD 2400, 3100, 3200, HD 3450, HD 3470, HD 4200, and HD 4350 are below minimum system requirements. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required. Intel and S3 video devices are not officially supported in Mass Effect 2.
RECOMMENDED
ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT, or better, recommended
NOTES: For the best results, make sure you have the latest drivers for your video and audio cards. Laptop or mobile versions of the above supported video cards have not had extensive testing and may have driver or other performance issues. As such, they are not officially supported in Mass Effect 2. Intel and S3 video devices are not officially supported in Mass Effect 2.

That starts off being related to your budget. The Radeon HD 5970 costs right about $900 these days, and the GTX480 is $500, as is the HD 5870. High end cards also require high end power supplies to match them.
This HD 5570 is about the least powerful card from the current generation to consider, at about $70 or so -- this one is $80:
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx
If you start by naming how much you can spend, and what screen resolution you will play at, then add the level of image quality you hope to see, we can see what it will come out to. For the most immediate use, which will only be strong enough for a few months, until something new comes along that outworks it, you could get by at $60 or so, from a reputable online retailer such as Newgg.
Video card pricing seems to be $15 or so higher righ now than it was a month ago, for some reason. Here is an HD 4670 at a good price that would hold you for maybe a year before it would need to be upgraded itself. It is one of those stupid Noob Trap parts, though, with twice as much VRAM as any game will ever get to use attached to it, adding to the waste heat, and raising the cost of electricity to run it.

It is true that you don't meet the system requirements but this error also happens on PCs with supported hardware.
