Recently the abrievated content of the forum posts stopped appearing in the news feeds on my home page and I was left with just the "X wrote new topic A" and "Y replied to topic B" headline. I had assumed this was intentional however I am still getting abrievated content for blog comments and for project discussion posts.
Since we don't really know what the intended behaviour is meant to be we can't really tell which, if any, are bugs! Therefore I thought if someone could tell us what we were supposed to see on our home pages (assuming no filtering) then we would be able to more readily identify any bugs in the news feeds.
What Is Supposed To Show Up In News Feeds?

Personally, I think they should all show just the "X created a new topic yy" and not show any abbreviated content. It just clouds the front page.

each part of the site puts different content in the activity list - we are aiming for consistency though, so anything that isn't consistent should be reported as a potential bug.
As far as it goes, we would rather show more info (blurbs, etc) on the front page than less, so the forum would be the one with the bug here.
