Hello everyone! The great news is that I have got the Toolset working! Woohoo!

The bad news is, I am totally out of my element here.

I have a few projects I want to do, and I'm learning as I go along...it's just taking some time.
  • Project one: Tweaking the Appearance of Sylrien (See forum avatar)
-I've found a way to convert the .das file to an .mor file. I've been able to open the .mor file in the toolset
-Currently, I'm trying to find a way to import the .mor to an .mrh file.
   a. Right now, I've been trying to read the values in the .mor values and translate them to the corresponding values in the blank .mrh I've created. Very. very. little luck. Is there a guide to translating these values? Is there *any* way I can change the .mor to the .mrh?
  •  Project two: My own hair/skins/art for items.
-All I'd like is if someone can point me to the direction of tutorials on the subject. I am a design major, so the idea of creating my own unique armor and hairstyles is something that really appeals to me. Essentially, where can I learn how to model? What programs can I use to create hair meshes, and are they available in the Dragon Age toolset? What tools would I need to download?

There seems to be many tutorials on creating cutscenes, so if I eventually persue that, I feel a little more confident. There just seems to be a lack of information on the latter project, and the former project is really the most important to me.

I want to thank everyone who takes their time to read this.

I leave project one alone. maybe beerfish knows.

project two require one of the better export utilitirs for dragon age and the 3D software it was built for such as 3DstudionMax,Gmax or Blender. the toolset will only be for testing and building test modules to check out your art work. it only uses art work it doesn't make them.

Project one: I don't believe that there is any way of converting a .mor to .mrh.

Project two:

I'd start here for Hairstyles: http://social.biowar...1079/blog/4097/

I may be a bit confused here. If you can open the file in the toolset and make changes to it can you then not just save it and 'post to local' thus creating a useable morph? (It's been a while since I've fiddled with morphs.)

to clear up confusion... if youve made a head by starting a new game and using the in-game chargen, then (AFAIK) there is no .mrh file, only the output mor. This is why, I think, sylrien has been flitting between the "proper" morph editor and trying to input the values in the mor. To answer your question, no, mrh to mor is a one-way process and converts the "designer" mrh file into a "game-friendly" mor format.

I suggest just making a new head from scratch and exporting it out as a mor (r click tab, post to local) and replacing your mor.
