For me I just played Red Dead Redemption while I wait for June's DLC for Mass Effect. The story is top notch and its a gorgeous game. Its pretty cool to look from a mountain side down towards the valley and realize you can ride your horse as far as your eyes can see. This is definitely my top 5 games ever played.
so what games are people playing here? recommendations?
What game are you playing in between bioware games?

Warcraft 3. Well, the fanmap DotA to be accurate. It´s the best game ever made, and it´s so successful that cuurrently 3!!! games are based on it - DemiGod by THQ, League of Legends and Heroes of Newearth.
The producers of Half-Life are also working on a DotA-copy.

Bad company 2, i've always preferred BF games over the CoD series.

Currently playing The Witcher, Resonance of Fate and FFXIII. I also started a new ME2 run with the all the DLC, but I guess that doesn't count as it's Bioware!

I just did another run through of Dragon Age Origins as a Dwarf Noble. Was a complete jerk to everyone.
Going to play through Awakening again soon but I think I might balance that out with some Monster Hunter Tri. Only played a little bit of it but it's pretty fun.

Need to play through the Witcher at some point actually, got part way through before needing to reinstall my system due to BitDefender releasing a bugged update to their anti-virus that killed my PC (detected windows as a virus...) that ironically occured while I was playing the Witcher.

Non-BioWare games? I recently started and stopped a game of Arcanum. I decided to go with a different character concept. It looks sweet in widescreen. A recent PST poll here has tempted me to pick that up again. A bit of Street Fighter IV, at least that was the case until recently when I had to revert to my old video card. Maybe in a few weeks.
I don't have much time to play anything these days. :/

Just picked up Dark Void the other day, frankly it's a pretty good game that was overlooked, I'm not saying it's amazing but still a lot of fun with the play mechanics once you fine tune the controls (I was actually getting vertigo at one point swapping from horizontal to vertical combat).
Alpha Protocol is next on the list.
