I would like to see the Quanari invade, Sten had hinted that there will be one and I would like to see Sten chose the Warden or his people depending on how much he liked you in DAO

Yeah, it doesn't have to be about a Blight or the darkspawn at all. I hope the darkspawn take the ME2 geth route, and become a lesser, yet ever-present, threat. I want to see something new. And it probably would be about Morrigan's child. Awakenings already implied that players took the Dark Promise route. Oh, and there'll be a multiplayer element. Calling it now.

How does Awakening imply that the Dark Ritual route was taken? If you're talking about the player character being alive, that's only to allow people to play with their character. A bit of a shame to ignore the Ultimate Sacrifice like that, while it could easily have been done.

If you're talking about other hints, please share, because I probably didn't pick those up.

I would hate for all of my effort into preventing that Dark Ritual to go ignored though.

What do you mean effort? All you have to do is say no and the Dark Ritual is prevented, no effort required. But I do get what your saying however we dont even know if our saves from Origins will be transferable and even if they are what is going to stop Bioware from pulling a Conrad Verner?

You do have to make the tough decision of either offing yourself or the other Grey Warden, and you need to get through the final part of the game without Morrigan, which is usually a bit of a problem to me, because she is frequently my primary mage.

Also, what's a Conrad Verner?

Well it is in relation to how our choices from Mass Effect carried over to Mass Effect 2, choices made regarding a certain individual named Conrad Verner in the first Mass Effect made no difference to the encounter with Conrad in the second game. No matter what choice you made in the first game the second game assumed that you treated Conrad poorly (even if you were nice) and the encounter reflected that.

Of course the Dark Ritual is canon. The choice is : maintaining the status quo or changing the world forever.

Gee I wonder which one will make for better future stories?

That was actually a importation bug and not  conscious decision by Bioware to ignore your actions. I believe the Wiki has more information on it.

Have they fixed it yet? If so do Paragons have a different encounter with Conrad or do they simply not see him at all? Regardless I was pretty dissapointed with how your choices from the first game carried over to the second game.

Probably not. Love Bioware to death but they do not seem to put the bugs down before or after a game very well.

A battle on the high seas sounds great...but first we need a port and a ship :)

There are already ports in Denerim and Amarathine.  Ports in Denerim are over by the Pearl.  Look at the Denerim map.  They had ships in Amarathine as well.   I love this idea.
