Not really, but don't you think it is a bit silly for a character that has been treating a party member in one manner to have the option to just flip out on them without provocation?

ex. Being nice and helping a character deal with their rampant insecurities and then choose the option to suddenly tell them to "shove it" completely out of the blue.

Actually, have any of you saved your game before starting a conversation just to see what they'd do when you make your character flip out on them and, then, reload so you can give the response that benefits your desired approval?

I know I have.

Still in a coversation arc, I find it doesn't make sense to say something akin to "I'll help you" only to be followed by "Shut the %*#@ up!" for the next reponse. If the player commits to the first statement, what sense does it make (other than being humourous) to have the option to completely switch personalities like a psych-ward for the criminally insane patient?

Any ideas on how someone might be able to improve this next time? I know that brancing dialog is one thing, but trend-branching can be a writer's and designer's nightmare (not to mention the many extra hours of recorded dialog -- Ricola anyone?).
