So is it really a choice between warrior A and warrior B?

Or is there a way to keep Alistair from leaving while keeping the other dude?

No, you can't have both in the same party. In order for Alistair to stay with you, Warrior B must die.

My understanding is that you have to choose; there is no way to get both. I think it's good story-telling but personally very frustrating. My character (human noble, sort of "lawful neutral") felt compelled to let "Warrior B" live after he yielded. I'd have preferred to keep Alistair as I find him funny whereas Warrior B... not so much.

For added dark and gritty fantasy, I originally had Alistair do the deed because he was being such a baby about me wanting to let B go. I re-did that section once I figured out the careful political planning my dwarven noble had undertaken was for naught if I had Alistair be the executioner.

Yep. Ah well it's cool. Good for subsequent replays. I was just hoping Alistair's friendship level would allow you to convince him otherwise. Have him at warm currently.

I also laughed when I had Shale be my champion. Gonna see what Warrior B says if I have Wynne or my dog duel him. lol

Crap, you can recruit him? That is awesome. That, and..... wow, he's tough! He beat the crap out of my main warrior over and over and over, so that I *had* to kill him out of sheer hatred for him.

Oh, but I *am* going to try and overwhelm him with the dog. *Well sported, good sir!*

I had Alisdair kill him.... but in the Final Battle and the cermony in the end he was still there and I could talk to him... wtf?
