He is indeed a strong character. And every time you think you've got him figured out, he throws you for a loop. Like, who knew he prefers you to be bossy? Or that he likes to pick wildflowers? Or that there's a persuasion check he can bypass with cookies?

I don't remember if she is ever called by her name, it was a while since I read it. But she is a human commoner.

I'm amazed that so many people like Sten. He puts in mind of that stupid guard in Haven.

That author very quickly pissed off the FF.net community with her weird way of releasing chapters instead of a story update, then proceeded to re-edit the chapters and release them again. The ff.net dragon age section was just cluttered with the series, much like Starbucks being everywhere.

Also oh god the sex scene was the most painful thing I've read so far, and I've read parts ok the Dragon Age Kink Meme.

I really hated the one part in the second 'Ask the Sten' series where the Warden explained to Sten that all noblemen got bored with their wives and looked for mistresses while all noblewomen desperately tried to reattract their **** husband's attention. Fail.

Agreed.  One of the best moments in the game is when he first calls your warden "Kadan."  Achieving the respect of a Qunari is no trivial matter.  Sten's friendship is worth treasuring.  Sten and Zevran are my two favorite Dragon Age characters by a pretty good margin.

That's like people saying girls can't romance Morrigan, boys can't romance Alistair, no one can romance Teagan, Loghain isn't romanceable, you can't have a past with Gilmore...that doesn't stop all the fanfics and even a few mods that say otherwise now does it?

It's from The Sten and The Warden, a fan-fic novel. And yes, it is rather disturbing. What's even more disturbing to me is Sten's eagerness for it. So not Stenly.

It's from The Sten and The Warden, a fan-fic novel. And yes, it is rather disturbing. What's even more disturbing to me is Sten's eagerness for it. So not Stenly.

Sten actually doesn't care about sex at all. And Morrigan changes her mind when he suggests chainmail and hot rod and stuff. It feels like he just wanted to shut her up.

The question is if that is because of his upbringing or a different kind of biology.

He has been taught that it isn't interesting, thus it isn't.

Apparently throughout the course of the novel he becomes the only qunari who engages in sex for pleasure. And despite the fact that Sten was so violent he killed the qunari woman he was supposed to mate with the Warden gets off reasonably unharmed. Fail.
