It was that for the first two pages but the novelty is fading for those posters and we're actually being serious now.

There was an actual discussion going on. The discussion I read in the turian councilor thread was something like "why doesn't isn't the turian councilor thread listed" and "there really are turian councilor fans." Get more posts about actual things related to the Turian Councilor and I'll put it up.

We'll make a compromise. You change the name to Turian Councilor (because we don't know if his name is Velarn) as well as make sure people are having a discussion about the Turian Councilor (not just saying we need more fans) and I'll post it. As an act of good faith I'll post it now (but I'm trying to monitor my thread so... keep it an official thread).

I think making sure people are having real discussion and calling out those who are just posting "Ah yes, X..." to keep the thread on topic and serious is an excellent idea.
However, I'd prefer not to change the topic's name for a number of reasons. Sure, one reason is because it's part of my secret campaign to get Bioware to pick that name for him, which is not super serious, but I'd also like to point out that very few fan threads actually have just "(Character name) fan thread" as their title. That Tali thread has "official migrant fleet" or the previously mentioned Udina thread has "THIS IS AN OUTRAGE". I like a more flavorful and personal title, but would express my concern that most of the options I could use such as "Ah yes, Turian councilor fans..." or something of that nature would just serve to invite more joke posters. I don't think it really harms the thread.

With respect, sir, while I am fully aware that I am a sarcastic **** who has nothing if not a reputation for nonsensical posting, I feel I've adequately demonstrated my intents and done my best to steer the thread to more serious discussion. I can understand your distaste for me, but imposing arbitrary standards like not having a title that's good enough for you frankly strikes me as petty. If another fan thread for the Turian Councilor existed that proved to be a better place for serious discussion, I gladly would encourage any posters in mine to abandon it for there.
However, there does not. I would ask you to find another fan thread on this forum that doesn't have a significant share of off-topic or joke posts in it, and I doubt you'd be able to accomplish such a task. I freely admit the Councilor Velarn thread has a higher proportion than it should, but that is simply because many people originally misunderstood my intentions. I simply would like to be included, there is little more to say.
At this point, though, it's become clear to me that arguing the point with you further is not going to bear any additional results, so with this post I am no longer going to continue wasting my time on the subject.

"Velarn" is not his name. It could very well be the name of the Salarian councilor. If you want me to add it to the list then simply remove that part from the thread name.

Aside from requiring the thread be in the correct forum, what's your criteria for adding a character support thread to the list? For instance, AM50's list included links to the Biotic God and Blasto.

As long as it isn't a joke thread. Post links to it as long as it isn't a joke thread that is... well... there to make fun of a character. I would put the Turian Councilor thread in here if the guy would remove Velarn from the name. The fact is that we don't know if that was his name. Velarn could easily be the name of the Salarian Councilor.

I run both the original Illusive Man Group + Thread. Not much discussion as of late due to thread regulars having things going on in life, however I try to keep it up when I can since I just finished college finals myself. Thread is a mix of discussion/joking/"support". Can be moved in a more serious/discussion direction if need be and if people would like to post (to be listed.) Will probably need to work on the original post of the thread to make it more discussion based vs. support based.
