If you can't tell what you're missing, I am truly astounded.

To get DLC (Downloadable Content) you have to be able to connect online and download it. Get a Live account or exchange it for the PC version.

ummm, you do know that a live account is free? how else do you think you're gonna download anything on the XBox. Sign up for a silver account and download it.

What other games have had DLC with them on a disc? I know ODST launched with Halo 3 multiplayer maps on a disc, but all the RPGesque games I can think of have relied on the Xbox Live network to distribute DLC, hence it being called Downloadable.

Yes you'd need to be able to get online to get an X-Box Live account. That's how you download the downloadable content from the Internet.

If you look at the requirements on your DA:O box it should say "X-Box Live required for DLC" or something to that effect. I don't have the x-box version so I couldn't say for sure, but if it doesn't say that, I'd return it to the store, point out that you bought it for the extra content which you can't get b/c you don't have internet, and ask for a refund.

how do you expect to download the downloadable content without being online?

So, let me get this straight... you bought the CE knowing that you'd have to DOWNLOAD the extra content.... Also knowing that your XBox isn't hooked up to the internet?

Did I get that right? Did you think some magical internet fairy would come fly into your home and implant the content to your xbox without having an internet connection?

I'm with bmatt, not entirely sure, but an X-box Live Silver account should work.

No, he thought that the content was included on the disc.

I suspect he doesn't meet the 17+ age requirement for this game.

I think he just misunderstood what the box was telling him about the DLC.  Probably thought it was all on the disc.  A simple mistake.

Hopefully you can get your box online at some point, Taitor.

Could you by any chance use the internet connection that you are using to make these posts? Or are you posting from a location that would be inconvenient to bring along your xbox?

Exchange it for the PC version. Or if you have a PS3 with a wireless internet connection and are afraid your PC can't run the game (like me), exchange it for Dragon Age on that system. The Playstation Network is free and it's easy to sign up.

Whatever you do, don't try downloading the content on a friend's Xbox and copying the files to your Xbox. From what I understand, most DLC can only be used by the Live profile that downloaded it. Plus you'll have wasted the one-time download codes.

You don't need the premium "Gold" account. A silver account is free, and is good enough to download content.

You can get a 100 foot network cable from many good electronic stores, and that should reach from your router to your Xbox - unless your house is so big that frankly you deserve to pay more for a fix :P

Xbox Live silver account is all that is needed for the DLC (or any Xbox downloads), and it's free. You can sign up for one either from the Xbox itself or from the Xbox web site. You will need to have your Xbox connected to the internet, of course, which I strongly suggest you do, as you are missing all the updates and patches to the Xbox system and your games.

I believe he was meaning that his Xbox doesn't have an internet connection.
