First and formost, they have to make ME again into an RPG with a hunt of shooter.
ME2 is great, in many ways, but its a near complete overhaul of what made the original great, both are very different from one another.
ME3 has to be like ME1, an rpg, with loot, that sense of always wanting to see what the boss dropped, maybe is a new upgrade, a new suit, new parts to sell.
ME, was so great, because of being an RPG with a hint of fast action shooter.
ME2 has non of that, that sense of wanting to get the best weapon, saving money to buy that very expensive piece of weapon that you saw....hoping to find a new upgrade that a boss dropped.
The point of RPG is to take what you kill...not as evil as I am making it sounds but you get my idea.
That is why I now a days suggest 4 games instead of trilogies, 3 games is too short to have everything good and set.
1st makes headlines. 2nd changes alot of things but usualy the sequel dind't solve everything.
3rd usually has 90% of it fixed. 4 would be like the holy grail for its title, everything fixed, what need to be taken out, taken out, what needed to be just polished, it is. ......sigh
Yeah, scan from the planet above, and find multiple 'anomalies' for some planets, maybe those that are garden worlds or jungles, to save space due to the vegetation, just have multiple anomalities. But for planets that are just rocks in space, or asteroids, go with ME1. Set down, vast space, like ME1, but easily reachable because of the hammerhead speed. Multiple bases and the like.
That is an RPG....This feels like A First person shooter with a small "hint" of customization options.
ME2 is closer to Splinter cell conviction than it is to RPG games.
But most of all, I wana drive a cain round on foot through a Thresher Maw's mouth.....sigh so good

.
PS: it would be nice, in open rock planets, that after multiple playthroughs you can call orbital strikes on baddies from the normandy. it is quicker, less hard but....I duno somehow do it, after many many playthroughs, would be nice
