I mean can this patch be much more difficult than DLCs? I don't think so

Yes it can, since there are three platforms (4 if you include MacOS) that the game supports, and at least two of those require working with third parties (Xbox 360 and PS3 patches for DAO are not handled directly by Bioware, but are done by Edge of Reality).

Thought l was the only one still with DLC issues. Please, most of my characters are now locked away unplayable due to Blood Armor and Stone Prisoner being corrupted by the patch and cannot download them again[stupid one time limit offer idea].

Next time, please have ALL DLC THRU THE PSN STORE.

What are you talking about? After reading this post, I went and checked my PSN dowload list and Blood Dragon Armor, Shale and the Collector's Edition items are all re-downloadable. ANd all the downoads ARE done through the store. How did you download the PS3 DLC without using the PSN store? That makes no sense. Luckily I wasn't going through all THE BS of trying to redeem the codes online in any way. I just input the codes on the cards right into the in-game store. They all worked fine.

And also all the DLC for the game get's installed to the game data, it's not like they are seperate files. You're describing how it is on 360. So how is it that you are saying just the DLC corrupted? Your whole game data would have to become corrupted on PS3. You know.....I really think alot of people on this forum just make stuff up to bash either the PS3 version of this game, or the game as a whole, or perhaps just BioWare as a whole.
One thing's for sure.......alot of people are full of crap if you pay attention to what they say.

Larry L, speaking of bashing... I have PS3 version with all DLC and it never crashed on me. I've seen a couple of slowdowns, but nothing bad. But I've read that disk version of Awakening is broken now. I've myself never encountered a broken quest or bugged item, maybe some quests in Awakening weren't triggered for me, but this might be my fault.

You can see my profile if you wanna know how much time I spent in this game.

I don't know. I have the disc version of Awakenings and it works fine. It's not BROKEN anyway, it does have a couple annoying bugs like the sounds for spells cutting out, and their animations cutting off but otherwise it's been fine. Oh and one time my PC got this odd glitch that her hands got stuck sticking out like a barbie doll in one of the cut-scenes and it stayed like that afterwards. I had to save and reload the game for that to go away.

Maybe some people's problem with Awakening is the strange fact that if you have the 1.03 Origins patch then go play Awakening for the first time, the 1.02 patch installs, which I find odd. But, that being said, I also noticed that the 1.02 Awakening patch is the only game data that is seperate from the other game data if you look in the game data folder of PS3. All the other patches and DLC data, including Awakening itself gets installed to the main game data originally installed with Origin. But for some reason that one patch on the Awakening disc is seperate.

I also noticed that if you install the update from the disc data located on the XMB, you still get prompted to download and install the same patch again from the server when you start up the game for the first time. Which is pretty odd.

It looks like most of the isues are resolved, most not all.

1) Game saves still locked

2) DLC some users are still having issues, but I heard if you contact EA/Bioware support they will help you through it

3) Freezing/Framerate - This has improved but there is still room for further improvement

4) Game bugs - codex, trophies, and some other minor bugs are still out there impacting gamers.

Bioware, if you are listening and planning to patch DAO one more time for the PS3 can you do your best to fix the four items above. THANKS!

As a long time supporter of your product and a big supporter for DAO on the PS3 I really hope that you listen out not only to me but to the rest of the your PS3 DAO gamers. We have been asking for a patch to resolve some known major bugs with DAO. Some more annoying than other but all are important to us as customers. We all hope that you are working on patch to get these major issues resolved. Below are the issues and it would be nice to hear from you confirming or denying that the issues are going to resolved so that we can enjoy this great game.

1) DLC - please help those who are unable to download or get their DLC. We paid good money for this game and we do love it but not having the this content upsets some of us and those of us who do have it would like our counter parts to enjoy these items as we have
2) Freezing - this is like the DLC issue. Some continue to experience freezing, other not so. I am one few that is lucky enough to have 2 PS3 that has no issue freezing and can play DAO, DA Awakening and the DLCs without any freezing. It would be nice if almost all of us, because there can be no 100%,  up and running DAO, etcc. without it freezing.
3) Frame rate - this is a very known issue with all PS3 users. It annoys all of us. We understand that the game was ported form the PC/XBox 360, but you should now have a patch in place or in the works that could improve some of the frame rate for DAO
4) DAO / DA Awakening game issues (Dagger/Bow Dex bug, missing codexes, etc...) - For me personally it is the Dex bug because it is already fixed on the PC. How about porting that fix over the the consoles.

If you could fix the four issues above I know a lot of PS3 owners would start another DAO game or two or more. I know I would.

Also, it would be nice to know if you are working on a patch to fix any of the issues above. I have read quite a few post from gamers who stopped playing because of these bugs. If you acknowledge us as your customer and inform us that you are doing something to fix these, most will be happy to know that a fix is on the way. Even if it is a small fix.

I hope other PS3 owners sign this post. I believe the more that sign this post for these fixes and add other that they have noticed during their play we can give Bioware a nice list of issues to patch on one of their greatest games they created.

I honestly don't want to put downt he control but a few of the bugs are keeping me from continuing some of my games since they are too of an issue to continue with a specific characters or too big because I can't get past a certain point because of a bug.

I must be one of the very fortunate ones because...

1) I have downloaded the DLC multiple times and never had an issue doing so. It might be where i live, or how good my internet connection is...but never have had an issue.

2) In all the hundreds of hours i have played DA:O, Awakening, and all the DLC i have had 1 freeze total. That was in Awakening, and as soon as it happened i deleted all the game data, re-installed it all, and no longer had a freeze. Just to let you know, i purposely checked more then once at the same spot twice to see if it would freeze up again, which it did not do.

3) While i might see a stutter now and again(it's not a common issue i see when playing), it's never made the game unplayable for me.

4) I was under the impression that 1.04 fixed some of the issues that needed to be fixed. If i did have a gripe it would be with bows, because that's one of my favorite talent trees.

I do feel sorry for those who are having issues, though.
