Bump! Great idea for a sticky, it'd be a good place to start for people that come to the characters, classes and builds forums just for the 2nd half of the title

Decided to add both cruc1al's videos on playing the game solo and gr00grams videos on play an adept. Visually demonstrating how to play the class can be more helpful than trying to describe how to do it at times.

So since I decided to include video guides, if anyone has suggestions on those, I'd like to see them.

ETA: Also, I had been looking specifically for guides, but this current thread on Sentinel builds starts off as a request for information and is followed up by a lot of detailed posts afterwards, essentially making the thread itself a guide. So debating about finding certain threads and adding it to the list. Thoughts?

At some point, going to take a closer look at the guides so I could write a summary for each one. For instance, is it concentrating on close quarters, distance, casting power, combat focus, etc.

Since this forum has been renamed the "Mass Effect 1 & 2 Characters, classes and Builds", here's a thread that I'm surprised has yet to be moved here from the now named "Mass Effect 1 Campaign Quests and Storylines" forum.  The linked thread lists numerous ME1 builds throughout the whole first page, not just the first post.

I think that thread should be stickied in the forum it's in now because people who have questions about ME1 will go to that forum more often than not.

Exactly, not only not obvious but also no longer true.  If I was a new member and I wanted to discuss a ME1 build, I'd come here to the forum with 'ME1 builds' in the title, not the one with 'ME1 Quests and Storylines'.  I know sometime since the change I have seen a thread pop up in here regard a ME1 build.  However if you feel adding an ME1 section to the OP will hurt, that's of course your choice, but I only see it helping it's chances for a sticky based on the new forum definitions Bioware seems to be going for.

Added khevan's casual shooter guide for infiltrators and Thompson family's thread on squadmate builds. Playing with color differentiation of the guides. Shamelessly bumping thread.



Anyone who fancies themselves a decent summarizer: would like quick but effective descriptions of each thread using the least amount of words possible while still being coherent. Am too wordy sometimes to do this myself.

I can write up extremely quick, one-sentence summaries for the guides if you'd like, but I don't want to read the entirety of each thread
