Without going into too much detail, I am going to be upgrading my main drive to a faster, higher capacity Spinpoint F3 drive in the next week or so and had some questions about backing up my ME2 saves.

I will be reinstalling Win7 64bit Pro and all my programs onto the fresh drive so I wanted to ask how best to handle getting my ME2 saves back. I have already backed up the saves directory, which contained all three of my complete playthrough characters as well as my ME1 saves. Do I need to do anything else or just redrop them back into the new save directory once I reinstall on the new HD?

Drag and drop and you should be ready to go.

For Mass Effect 2, make sure to also grab BIOGame\\Profile\\Player1.prf (achievements file, maybe other things for all I know). Unlike ME1, achievements are not stored within the Save folder.



But yes, put the backed-up files back in after re-installing ME2 and you should be good.
