I keep get this error when trying to buy points "This invoice has been rejected by the payment provider". What does that even mean and is there a way to fix it?

I realize this is kind of late, but I just received the same error message while trying to purchase points via paypal (and everything worked fine some two weeks ago).
I contacted EA support, I hope they reply within the 24 hours they proclaim.
Did you resolve the issue? If so, could you post some advice?
