Because the only reason Avatar was a success was because of the 3-D gimmick. In reality it was Pocahontas in space.

And who said it was intended to be something different?

No, because Cameron likes to go on big projects that he likes to write, direct, and produce himself.  Mass Effect would be a bit too unoriginal for him.

Plus he's all about making billions with his movies.  I don't think he can do that with Mass Effect.

It's a longshot, but I don't think Cameron would be interested in ME.

I thought Avatar was "okay" but could see it's flaws.

I thought along similar lines with ME sequel.

I almost cringe at the thought of a ME movie, not that I wouldn't go see it.

Sure, all but the script.

Please, the movie was passable at best. It did have good acting, I'll give you that. You want magnificence all around you look at TNG.

JJ would be much better Cameron's only good at directing action flicks, not in-depth stories.

What the hell does this mean?  The artist's intention does not automatically make their work valid. That's right, some people produce crap - a known fact.

Please no. If it was a Cameron film it'd be about Shepard fighting off the evil conservative corporate oppressors and making love to every tree ever. No thank you.

The way the movie looked, I thought it was intended to be different. Then, I read the feedback.

A Ferngully like story. Juvenile for such a visually orgasmic experience.
