If they put a cat in we have to remember to clean the litter box and put out food and water before every mission or it dies. Can't wait.

Lol, what? Dogs are loyal to you when you teach them that that's how they get food and shelter. Cats aren't loyal to people; people are loyal to cats.

Exactly.  There has been more cases of dogs helping/saving their masters while in crisis then cats.  Heck if Shep had a dog in ME1 he would've never died.  The dog could've dragged Joker's crippled ass to the life pod.

Well, it would be simpler to have a cat in the cabin than a dog, because you need to take the dog for a walk several times a day, and well, thats kinda hard in space plus you don't really have time for it while saving the galaxy (allthough you do have time to solve all your squadmembers personal issues for some reason)

I'd rather a dog. Cute, loyal, doesn't scratch so much. Take it for runs around the cargo hold, or get Kelly to do it when you're not on deck.

Simply put in ME2 we got a "space" hampster (dont know what was so spacey about it) so in ME 3 id like a cat. maybe when you walk in your room on the normandy the cat would be asleep curled up on your bed (god knows thats all my lazy cat dose) or maybe stalking the fish in your tank ,you know pheline things.

There is a cat, but you can't see it. You can hear a cat meowing on the Citadel where the cars are wizzing by. I guess they used a cat's meow to make the car sounds.

It's a space hamster because it lives in space (citadel is a space station) and because it's a reference to Boo, Minsc's pet space hamster in Baldur's Gate II.

I personally only bought the hamster since I had plenty of money...but the very thought of buying a pet into a space craft that has a fair chance of being blown into bits (again)...not a huge fan of it. Kaidan is the only pet I need so I vote Kaidan for a pet in ME3.
