My system is as follows:
- Intel Core i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80 GHZ (8 CPUs), ~2.8 GHZ
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 470 (with integrated RAMDAC, 4059 MB of memory, running in my monitor's native resolution of 1280x1024, with my drivers at 8.17.11.9717)
- Realtek High Definition Audio (Speakers, Digital Output and Digital Output (Optical), all of which have drivers 6.00.0001.5859
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit (6.1, Build 7600)
- DirectX 11
My issue is thus:
While it is possible to start a game and have it sustain music, saving a game and loading it (the principle area I have tested this is right at the beginning, after the initial conversation with Joker and Kaiden, but no music loaded on an autosave at the start of Eden Prime either) results in no music (though a musical cue briefly plays when Nihlus is walking away at the end of the Shepard/Anderson/Nihlus briefing scene).
Version 1.0 crashes trying to initiate the config, and both versions 1.01 and 1.02+Bring Down The Sky DLC have this problem. Is this actually a normal part of gameplay, or is there something I'm missing? I have tried virtually every combination under the sun in BioEngine.init's ISACT section and in the game's sound/audio sections under Config, and my game's sound experiences no other issues that I am aware of. I am using brand new Logitech LS11 speakers in the rear analogue jack..
I am not sure if this is significant, but at times the beginning theme (which does not appear to be listed on the soundtrack and I cannot find elsewhere) sounds like it is skipping, though giving the repetitve nature of it's beat, this is very difficult to verify.
I apologise if I have missed anything or been unclear in any way. I have posted this here, as for some unknown reason I receive an "Action Not Allowed" error when I try to post (or even reply) on the main site's technical support forums.
