I love her character for that, but at the same time it's a pain losing rep pointswith her whenever I go and decide to help someone. Gifts, thankfully, are always handy.

there's always wynne, or however you spell her name. i'm in the mage tower and i dropped her for wynne. everyone's in harmony, i have lotsa healing, and my tanks are ripping everything apart.

Her logic is pretty stupid. Any kind of help given to anyone for whatever reason makes her mad, even if it's the easiest, most beneficial and sound solution. That's not hardcore survivalism guys. Who the hell turns down an easy solution to a complex problem just because that solution also aids someone who's weak? You get your result either way.

There is not a single time in the entire game that siding with her actually makes things more difficult.  None of the solutions she opposes are in any way the "easiest."  The single closest you can get is making a promise to a Smith, but there's another alternative if you just look around the shop.

Warrning spoiler: some part of this tells the ending to not read if you have not finished the game!  And sorry:

i rly do like the char Morrigan and i feel it's mostly about you and her, i really like the idea of crul woman (hard to get) in the game but when i get to the point where you kill her mother, the mysterious comes forth in my head. I mean that later on in the game she want's to safe you from the death with a child but you must let her go and never to see her again! i mean dam this sucks, all she want is power and there is something about this child with the god inside that she want's! but i start make tons of ideas of what it could be, was it a plan from the start of the game? i run over the idea's in my head 100 times over but there is so little information about the Magic in the game. i don't know, i finished the game where i did no grant her a child and let allister take the Death toll. So i rly don't know if she got the god or not! But if ever to come an DA2 it would be awsome to find her and straiten things up, aswell i guess there could be another archedeamon in the other continents^^:_S

Oh, I also enjoy Wynne(?) as well. As a matter of fact, I had both in my party in the tower, but it is nice to have her with me complaining and being sarcastic. Brings a bit of flavor to an otherwise tepid group.

Party Convo Spoiler:

My favorite so far is her threatening Shale.  She threatens to turn into a bird.

How about when she gets mad if you don't start a fight with the mages at the Circle?

She's sarcastic, wants power and her tune is "survival of the fittest" but she really isn't even remotely evil. You can bend her ways if you play your cards right, just takes some effort (won't spoil).

You have to take her to the docks when you go to the Circle tower..."work something out"

I keep Morrigan around because the interaction with her, Al & Zev is so funny. Only real problem is she's stuck with her starting armour....forever...

I got Morrigan and Lelwhateverhernameis to Adore at around the same time. The conversations they would have on the road together were hilarious!! Morrigan went off on her just out of the blue one time....something like "I do not share, get your own!" Lelsomething was like "huh??"

I'd hardly consider letting someone force themself into my party with me having to remove a party member to be the "easiest and most sound solution."  Especially since the alternative is a single relatively easy fight that is never spoken of again.  She doesn't even get upset if you ultimately do side with the Mages.

Since I always like to unlock at least 1 romance in the Bioware games I play, my solution to Morrigan's grumpiness was simple: Leilana (sp?). She's bright cheery, and all about being good natured. If you want to RP a good person going through the campaign, accept that Morrigan just isn't into that and set your sights on the cute redhead :).

Generally though even though Morrigan's approval rating is lower than Leilana's, both are still pretty high in my party.  I don't think I have the full romance started with either yet though, but Leilana is looking pretty close on that one.

The dialog between the various characters can be hilarious though.  I loved the one where Leilana started talking about wanting to play dressup with Morrigan and get her a nice dress and some shoes.   Kinda sucks because some of the characters I just don't use - it seems like you'd have to play through the game countless times to get all the combinations right to here all the conversations between different members :).

I ditched the biatch for a spot in the party for dog. My ever-faithful Daisy Mae agrees with all my decisions, doesn't sass me, and is just the cutest when she rolls on her back.

Then again I'm playing a mage. Next go through as a warrior I'll have her in the group...... want all different party members for a new experience. Er, all different except for Wynne, as a warrior I want them heals!

I get along with her fine. I'm a jerk to everyone in the game so she tends to like how I play. The only downside is Allistair hates me but o well. He'll live.

No matter what I do she does not like it.

Morrigan "We need to build a army and stop the darkspawn"

Me "Ok lets go talk to the Arl, and get his help."

Morrigan "Nope we have to save his village, with people in it we need, but I hate saving anyone so no."

Me " Ok lets go talk to the Dwarfs?"

Morrigan "No way they are short and allways trying to look up my shirt. Sides I bet they want us to do something for them before they help us."

Me "Ok the elfs?"

Morrigan "No they like trees, and I like swamps, sides they may want us to save a kitten to earn there trust, yuck I hate Kittens."

Me " I Know lets sit here and try and get no ones help"

Morrigan "No, we, umm that is you, need to build a army, and save us all from the darkspawn, get to it, but do not make me unhappy.."

Me "Ok how about..."

Morrigan "Nope sorry unhappy already, cause your trying to move the plot forward, I hate the plot."

Me "Ok look you witch, is there a darn thing I can do that makes you happy."

Morrigan "Sure kill yourself."

Ok see I am really starting to hate the one charicter that I saw that made me say "Damn I have to play this game."

Anyone please have any idea how to move the game forward without pissing her off, besides just leaving her in camp?

Heh, well said. I agree. She is well written as char, and spooky reminds me of someone I know, but yes, I don't like her either. EVERY time when I wanted to save someone's lover/child or so, she says to the person "he/she is dead accept it we can't do a thing". I so hated that. And she usually was wrong, but didnt learn. I just stopped taking her along now.

When the character who is moving in is the most powerful healer in the game? Actually, it is the easiest and most sound solution.

Well I save a lot before I talk to anyone, and if it ends up pissing her off, I reload, drop her in camp and pull out the dog, redo the talk, put the dog in camp and then she helps me without losing rep. As for romance, never said thats what I was after, I just found her the be the most interesting of the NPCs pre launch. Since I am female and a mage, I do not think I have a romance option with her anyway,

Cool Forum.  I was wondering if I was the only person in the world that was getting tired of Morrigan's attitude.

In the mage's tower I have both Wynne and Morrigan.
Presently, I am stuck in the fade dream struggle fighting by myself.
But, as soon as I find this demon and whip his but, it is probably back to the camp for Morrigan.

speaking of romance, did anyone else get the cameo movie about everyone else in camp eyeing us when I was chatting with the cute redhead?
It amazes me how they build in such dimension to the interpersonal relationships between the characters.
Hopefully, the whole group doesn't mutiny on me because I flirt with the redhead.

Otherwise, having a literal ball playing this game.Posted Image

Along the lines of what she likes .... Letting the mages (pampered useless poodles) die in the Circle got me a +8 increase with her. I also killed Wynn thinking she'd like that but nooo no reaction :)

If you dislike a party member, no longer have that individual in your party. SImple as that. No need to whine about it.
