I guess they like proven reliability. If it isn't broken, they don't change it.
The problem is that, in a gameplay sense, the helmets are broken. Whether I use a full alternative armor set, or an N7 helmet that covers the face, I still drink my shots through solid material and people recognize my completely-obscured face on sight.
That's a minor detail that doesn't affect any combat actions, nor does it cause a dialogue option that freezes your console or corrupts your harddrive.
It's not game breaking, so no, stop complaining.

Lol, you're an idiot.
It's a major graphical design oversight. If all your guns were invisible, you'd still be able to do all combat options and it wouldn't effect dialog, and it wouldn't freeze your PC or corrupt your hardware, but it's still sloppy and unprofessional.

In some action sequenses it'll stay on, but when he talks it should be removed.
The Blood Dragon armor looks great in ME2, but it looks stupid when a cutscenes playes.
It totally ruines the mood.
And it would fix the "drinking a shot though your helmet" thing.

Except for the part where major portions of quests hinge on characters recognizing Shep on sight, including meeting with Aria, Tali on Freedom's Progress, and a number of other areas in the game, as well as the large amount of time spent in bars if you're trying to complete all the quests. The several cut-scenes set up for drinking too much or that only come from drinking. In fact, there's an entire side-quest that gets initiated with you taking a drink.
So, no... you're an idiot too.

It is, considering the ammount of people complaining about it on a weekly basis on this forum, the Dev Team isn't deaf on this forum.
As for you Kalos, it's a minor graphical design oversight, because it's unrelevant to anything except secondary Dialogue options with minor NPCs. Invisible guns would be Major, because shooting mind-bullets at people is too cool, and has to do with actually playing the game and not watching a Soap Opera. For shizal though homie, Combat is a primary factor in both ME games, guns going invisible, or the famous ME2 turn to the sides shooting forward glitch, would need to be patched more than drinking invisible Brandy through a sealed Helmet.
As for myself being an idiot for holding a valid opinion, you would be considered a ****** for trying to make this seem like it's a major problem that needs to be overhauled with another patch because it's breaking the game, which it doesn't.

The bad ass helmet that Shep never had during the entirety that they've known Shepard, and if it was a DLC helmet it was hand-picked for them by the Illusive Man after their mission had already started? And can be changed at whim? And if bought in a shop presumably mass-produced?

Or you know, it's simply too difficult to patch, which would be understadable but doesn't make the issue any less minor.
It's irrelevant to anything except minor dialog options with minor NPCs? That's why it kicks off an entire secondary quest, right? And it's such a big deal that you don't spend a disproportionate amount of time in bars on hub areas than any other type of establishment (as far as furthering the main plot and quests go, not actual time which will vary on loitering).
I never said it was breaking the game, I said it was sloppy and unprofessional, just like I pointed out that other major graphical oversights are sloppy and unprofessional and that's why developer take the time to make sure they don't happen. Just because you only care about shooty blam blam explosions doesn't mean the rest of the players don't find something to look incredibly idiotic when it looks incredibly idiotic.

I'm grudgingly half expecting that to be a plot-point in ME3. Shepard's ability to lead people just ends up being "light side of the force" indoctrination. People seem to... 100% never question you. Or they do at first but are quckly convinced to see your way.

No Shepard, you are the Reapers
And then Shepard was a husk"

The standard N7 helmet without breather apparatus looks kinda silly to me. Might be the visor.
And off with helmets for DLC armors! Except that won't work, cuz DLC armors are made with different skeletons I believe..
So in short, better luck next time.

I've been kicked out of rooms simply by username, I've been shot on site for using an emblem, and two build types that makes over a dozen players a day either complain openly in game, or just from hearing my voice, start yelling. This was when I changed my identity on Sexbox Live, and they still found me. Unrelated, but partially similar.
Really it's just laziness on the developers, however it is rather pointless with the "Oh look, who is this guy with a voice I recall rather well under that helmet with Cerberus." For the three to five occasions that it takes place, for probably five minutes per conversation if you don't pull out the "I'm ****ing Shepard" stick.
