I've seen so many bad movies, but off the top of my had, the only movie I ever walked out of... The Avengers.

Someone actually watched that thing? Wow. I'm a longtime watcher of Hong Kong cinema and I know that the folks over there have their absurd moments, but I'm told that Riki-Oh falls in the so-comedically-over-the-top-kind-of-bad-that-it's-good category. Then again, I'm an old fan of actor Louis Fan Siu-Wong (I used to watch some of his old 1990s-era movies and TV serials where he had waaaay more hair and played honest-to-a-fault, if-slightly-cardboard martial arts heroes, and seeing him in Donnie Yen's 2008 vehicle Ip Man albeit in a slightly different role as a morally ambiguous, tempestuous antagonist was a flashback to the good old days). Thanks for the clip, lol - I might just check this one out for the heck of it.MessyPossum wrote...

wolfsite & Amberyl - Final Fantasy: Spirits Within. Again...I realize it's popular amongst video game nerds to criticize the movie...but it was an interesting story, and if it had been filmed in live action and called anything else, people would have loved it. The story wasn't the least bit confusing...and I would actually question the intelligence of anyone who had a hard time following it.
Well I'll have to take your word on the story, as I said I lost interest in it and fell asleep so I don't know too much about what happenned. But I do tend to find that most people who defend this film are Final Fantasy nerds who figure anything with the FF name on it is pure gold. But frankly it must have quite a few problems, this is the first movie I fell asleep watching and it's the only movie I have ever fell asleep watching.

I rather enjoyed Conan the Destroyer... *blink*
I thought Conan the Barbarian was okay. Destroyer, not so much... to put it lightly. This is all an exercise in subjectivity. I'm sure there are a few movies most of us can agree are horrible, but chances are someone out there feels differently. Certainly I disagree with a few earlier posts.
Not with the Avengers though. That was bad. Agreed.

However, the by far worst movie I've seen in the last few month was Scorpion King II, just horrible... (The 1st one, or the above mentionen Conan the Destroyer are pure gold, compared..)

Even if you look at it as B-movie fun, it's not fun.

Just viewing the related clips and perhaps its comedic value does surpass its awfulness.Amberyl Ravenclaw wrote...

Warden: *rips off Riki's shirt with his hook hand*
Warden: "Why do you have bullets in your chest?"
Riki: *smirks*
Still bad though. Bery bery bad.

It's like they originally wrote a 20 minute movie, couldn't think of anything to extend the plot to two hours so they just added 2 hours of footage showing stuff floating in space and hoped that the special effects would be dazzling enough for people to overlook everything else. Apparently, it worked.
Charlie And the Chocolate factory wasn't bad just because it was inferior to the original. Everything about it was terrible. The casting, the scenery, the humor was in incredibly poor taste, the music, just everything was God awful.

75% of this threads just sounds like an excuse to complain about mainstream movies just because they're mainstream.
Sounds like someone is upset because his favorite movie got trashed.

Not really. My favorite movies haven't come up at all, though some that I liked have. It's more along the lines of "they made a Hollywood blockbuseter" as the typical complaint being listed. The other 25% of the thread, however, is a genuine list of really awful movies.Busomjack wrote...

On a side note, I did not include any B-Movies because they're frequently laugh-out-loud funny but I suppose I'll throw an honorable mention to The Severed Arm, which I watched once on VHS about a decade ago and still remember all of it today. Great terrible movie. XD

That's completely true. It just irks whem people bash on something mainstream for no other reason than "ew, it's mainstream and therefore not cool." That's just as stupid as following whatever the new in trend is, whether movies cloths or whatever. Watch what you like, don't watch what you don't like, and kindly remove the stick from your butt. At least that's how I feel about it.Cuuniyevo wrote...
I too, disagree with many of the choices in this thread, but they're personal choices of the people who posted them, so they're all valid for the limited purposes of this thread.
I'm sure that doesn't apply to everyone here, but that is the feeling I'm getting from a majority of the complaints.

Every movie I mentioned is genuinely awful. Highlander 2 is awful on so many levels that it even outstrips the worst Uwe Boll movie. And that's saying something.
Though it is funny that they have tried to re-edit Highlander 2 a few times in an attempt to improve it (Renegade Edition and the Director's Cut) Some of the new scenes were nice but ya the script just doesn't work for the series. Though from what I hear it's better than the new one Highlander: The Source.
