It's pretty funny since the Scottish use someone who amounts to basically a cartoon character as a source of national pride and cultural identity.

It's amazing to me Busomjack that you can go around offending all groups of people of varying ethnicity with your broad generalized and demeaning statements and get away with it.  It's funny really, I insult you personally and get called on it and you insult ethnic groups en masse and nothing is said.  I am dumbfounded.

Oh well...good for you bad for me I guess.Image IPB

You're right, I probably should've thought twice before posting that comment.   I apologize.  The message I was trying to convey however is that the statue itself is insulting to the Scottish people since it puts a fictionalized account of a historical figure on Wallace's monument.
I did not meant to say that the Scottish people all embrace this.

I really disliked The Private lives o Pippa Lee....not because it was terrible...but because it could have been sooooooo much better.

Any of the twilight movies, that Highlander movie that was basically the series pilot, the quickening...bad story and lazy director who used the same scene twice for a fight sequence.

It is for a massive fanboy of the book.

Theres one little piece of my childhood torn away.

That book is from your childhood?  You must like 15 years old then because I think that book is only a few years old.

Ok, I spent the last 15 minutes scanning this thread and I don't see this one here. Maybe because it's just too obvious perhaps???

Jurassic Park 3

By far the WORST movie I've ever seen. Saw it with friends in the movie theater years ago when it came out and I remember laughing our butts off throughout the entire thing. Funniest trash ever.

You guys don't know what bad really is. This IS Bad. Yeah worse than troll 2. If you can find anything worse, I'll temporarily ban myself. I just can't believe the worst potter fan fiction imaginable got into Sundance.

Every movie I mentioned is genuinely awful. Highlander 2 is awful on so many levels that it even outstrips the worst Uwe Boll movie. And that's saying something.

Whoa, whoa, hold on there... I agree Highlander 2 is bad, very bad, but it is oscar worthy compared to ANYTHING Uwe Boll has made. At least it is watchable, even if you are saying the whole time "why am I watching this?", I couldn't even sit through House of the Dead it was so bad, and I have avoided BloodRayne like the plague. I am afraid we're going to see a Gears of War movie by him or something, but I don't thing Microsoft would be as stupid to let him NEAR anything they make.

As for my "worst movie"...it depends on what we're talking about. If we're talking about merely being overrated and undeserving of hype...then there's a new movie at least once a year. Last year it was Avatar, and the year before it was Dark Knight. Neither is a bad movie...but completely undeserving of the hype they received.

I'd have to go with The Super Mario Bros Movie.

But, but, Dennis Hopper was Koopa! That alone is worth the price of admission, may he rest in peace. I haven't seen Avatar yet, so I can't comment on it, but Dark Knight was good, but you're right, WAY over hyped.

Another example of hollywood schlock and remake of the "Dances with Wolves" type story was the Last Samurai. The only saving grace to that movie was Ken Watanabe. Seriously though....Tom Cruise as a Samurai.....give me a break.

My worst I think it was BattleField Earth and Revenge of the Fallen, I only cared for the action that about it.

I think he managed it, while not the best movie, it offered some epic scences...

Also if you Like Wantanabe, he is terrific in Letters From Iwo Jima

I've said it before and I'll say it again. It was so terrible I actually laughed though the whole movie.

That's the problem though.  Hollywood seems to be happy with feeding the public epic scenes with little originality or substance.  I don't like having my intelligence insulted by Hollywood.  Tom Cruise didn't pull it off, he just had a great supporting cast to carry him along and it still didn't make the movie great.

Letters from Iwo Jima was great as is almost any Clint Eastwood directed film.  Loved Gran Torino.

the worst movie i ever saw was easily ALIEN VS PREDATOR, not only was the acting and characters awful but its ruined both franchises...the point of the old alien movies was "dont let them reach earth" but in AVP we find out oh they have been on earth the whole time THERE WAS NO POINT and the predators were downgraded from intelligent stealthy hunters to clumsy fat bufoons that get themselves killed in dum ways. oh and is the fact that theres A FREAKING PYRIMAD UNDER ANTARCTICA FOR 10000 YEARS suppose to be taking serously cuz that was just plain retarded...oh and the predator looks like a plastic action figure.

Theres also the fact that the first 2 Predator movies set it up so that they only hunt in the heat. Anna said something to that effect in the first one something about this only happens in the hottest years and Predator 2 is set during a massive heatwave. So why in the blue hell would they build their pyramid in Antarctica of all places? Even if it was built before the ice was there then shouldnt they turn up with different equipment to negate the cold atleast? It seems bizarre that such an advanced species would use the same tactics and equipment in both a heat wave and in the arctic. That movie pissed me off to no end.

Requiem for a Dream

Gaggingly pretentious, I have seen worse films from a technical standpoint, but as far as pure torture goes, this is #1. The ravenous fanboys of the movie don't help either. I hated it.

@ Uber Geekzilla

For me the alien franchise needed a reboot anyway it really fell apart once it became more about Ripley than the aliens. I thought Alien Resurrection was a massive disaster. But AvP just made things worse Paul W.S. Anderson shouldnt be allowed anywhere near anyones franchise after the mess he made of Resident Evil. How that man finds work I will never know.

I actually preferred AvP2 possibly because I couldnt see what the hell was going on for most of it.

Oh, after flipping through some of the other posts, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has to be up there. Depp is unconscionably bad, every line of his makes you want to change the channel.
