It's a real shame and PC gamers are responsible for it.

You callous jerks! Bow your heads in shame... Lower! I can't believe the nerve, the, the audacity some of you have that come in here, with your legal registered copies of games that truly support the developers. And, and you come in here with your... tricorner hats and your... pegged legs and... your faces. You disgust me, all of you.

Connection to a third party server is NOT the same as a system requirement, that is juts idiotic.

System specs are under the control of the end user, third party servers are NOT.

And one of those system specs is an internet connection which is a system requirement.
Even many games that don't require internet connections to play at least require connection to a third party server for things like DLC, so this is really no big deal.
People who are complaining about this are just looking for an excuse to promote piracy propaganda.

Wow you are really missing the forest for the trees mate.

What people are complaining about are DRM's that actually hurt people who legally purchase the program.

And that DRM doesn't affect pirates in the slightest. His arguments would be valid, if it actually helped combat piracy.

It does not.

They like feeding trolls?

I find trying to reason with him, or any troll for that matter, results in nothing happening at all.

As someone who has Assassin's Creed II on the PC I have to digress.  I don't deny that maybe some people have experienced a server crash but through two playthroughs I have yet to see even one.  This is really a non-issue.

Ummm, people are complaining about requiring internet connection. Being that that IS a system requirement as it says on the box I think that qualifies as complaining about system requirements.

What good does it do as a "requirement" if the servers, you know, that ones you have NO control over, keep messing up? Now tell me, how is that the customers fault, and why should they not be able to play a game they bought? Your "system requirement" arguments is pointless as most people here have pointed out.

That may be true.  Regardless of how ineffective DRM may be, piracy is still the reason for it's existence.

The servers keep messing up?  Really?  I have no trouble logging into my game and playing.  No crashes, no disconnects, everything runs just Denver.

Actually, Busomjack has stepped over the line of trolling and has wandered into the arena of the libelous.

Being that I'm on the same servers as everyone else I think my experience is more than just a personal one.

Not really, I have not named any individuals I have just stated that the majority of PC gamers are pirates.  I stand by that as I have seen several surveys where the majority of PC gamers admit to piracy.
Not to mention several torrent websites are the most popular websites on the internet.

In any case, this conversation is going nowhere and I tire of it.  I'll take my leave.

Also the PS3 apocalipse, when nobody was able to play because of a clock error.

Priceless.
