Indeed it is. But...hmm...if you'd like to know why your conclusions about Miranda are wrong , come into the Miranda thread. As opposed to some other character threads, we've actually had a lot of on-topic discussion going on for the last few hundred pages...

Miranda just never did it for me (beyond her looks... yeowza!).

...and her looks alone, while appreciated, would have never made her interesting for me. Different worlds again, it seems.

I never buy it when "pretty people have it hard too." Maybe if they went into further detail about who her father is, just how bad it really was for her growing up, what challenges she's faced. Because my Shepard has already faced challenges that would blow her mind, and you don't hear him ****ing about it.

We've speculated about that. Some of the ideas are pretty bad.... But Miranda doesn't b*tch about it. In fact she's rather laid back about her problems, an attitude I like very much. Why is it that any time people tell you about their problems, it's either whining or b*tching or something else. Really, I don't understand it. People aren't machines, damn it. And kings of cool are boring.

In the end I think its great that BioWare gave us LI's that are all significantly different enough which can affect each person's play through so that we all get an experience unique to us.

As much as I've expressed my likes and dislikes I stay out of the Tali/Jack/Miranda/*your fave LI thread*
As much as I like Tali as an LI and can appreciate good fan art/fiction for any of the characters, there's still a certain line between liking a character's portrayal and being... a little too "involved".

In the end it comes down to how I personally perceived the game, and Miranda reminded me of all the "wrong" girls I've chased. I sure as hell explored it in game, saw the romance scene and all that stuff ("Really Shep? In the engine room?"), but I just happen to like Tali's dialog and interaction better.

But hey Miranda is still better than Jack in my book if that makes you feel any better.

^^LOL. That other people don't like the same fictional character I do doesn't make me feel bad. I just wanted to correct a few possible misperceptions, just in case you could be convinced to give Miranda more of a chance. But if she reminds you of someone you don't like, there's not much I can do about it.

Just play the game and whatever happens will happen, When I first got the game I had "planned" to romance Miranda but by the time I had done Tali's loyalty mission I couldn't go back , just go with whoever fits your personality best

Everybody here has differing opinions on the squadmates/romance options. You either love them or hate them, to quote the good Casey Hudson. I really like Miranda for example and find Tali to be a bit too soft for anything further than a friendship. Do what you think is right, OP, play the way you want and you'll be happy.

It's actually a tough choice, especially including Jack. The best answer I can give, and I would follow it myself - just go with your gut feel. Don't use your head...

At the end of the day, it's the quality of the writing thet gets you. i was fully commited to staying with liara when i started, but after the inteacting with tali miranda and jack i sort of fell out with liara. don't get me wrong, i still like the charicter, i just realized that the me2 ladies were a bit more rounded as people.

Miranda, the ice queen with a superiority complex, that turns out to just want to be loved really
jack, the raging psycho who is really still that scared little girl in the Teltin facility
tali, the awkward nerdy girl, who has a crush on the most popular guy who probably doesn't realize she exists, then is shocked to discover he really does notice her.

All 3 are brilliantly writen and voiced, it's all down to who you connect to. your own reasons a deeply personal and probably if u had to explain them they would make no sense. just go with the flow and be glad you aint 'the prize'
