I love art, but sadly i aint much of a artist past sketches. So are any of you artist's? Or is there just art you love that you would like to share with everyone? Here is the place to show everyone you're art, or any art you just like. Get posting your's or someone else's work.

Not posting anything to get us started? I have some of my old work around here somewhere, maybe I'll track it down in a bit. Until then, enjoy this blog post on Franz Xaver Messerschmidt:

I draw... sort of. I don't have a lot of time to devote to drawing. It was a favorite hobby when I was a kid. I had a knack for drawing cartoon animals, and everyone encouraged me. Now, when I draw cartoon animals, people mistake me for a "furry." I should have grown up drawing superheroes instead. Now I can't draw people worth a darn.
Anyway...here are some of mine:
Feathered Serpent
Vega
Familiar
Meanwhile, I love Clive Barker's paintings for his Abarat books, like this one.

Did this on gray stoneware. This one wasn't thrown on a potter's wheel, but formed from a slab. The handle are two coils intertwined. The glazes I think are high-fire. Not sure which cone, but it was electric fired.

What about some architecture from my favorite architect?

And here's an art piece I have in my room:

If anyone likes antiques I have a lot of those that I can post.

Line art almost exclusively as I suck at coloring.. Also I'm terrible at finishing works as I get bored and move on to something else. I have a bunch of drawings in my sketch books but they need to be scanned so these are all Photoshop only works, of which I'm still finding my way around the program. Here's a few.
A chick with armor -

An angel (feet need finishing) -

A simple eye -

Here's a sketch of Tali I did a while ago -

And finally here's what I've been currently working on, a Geisha mermaid, I've really been trying to force myself to work diligently on this and I've also been trying out some coloring techniques using adjustment layers etc..

Phill Hansen is an interesting artist who's art is not only in the pieces he makes, but the process of making them that he posts on YouTube. Sometimes it's all about the process, and he destroys the piece after making it. He also sometimes asks people that watch his stuff to contribute.
This is a great example of what he does:
A Moment
That's pretty amazing.
Here's another interesting one:

Edit: By the way, very cool scetches Petehog!

We have some talented artists here.
@Rubbish Hero - You should try to patiently work on a drawing sometime. Those are pretty good for quick sketches.

p.s. What is your definition of art, is it just pictures…
It's anything you consider art, this is for all the forum not just me. I just realised we did'nt have a art thread and thought it would be nice to see what my fellow forumites have to show.

One of my relatives has one of the original paintings (of 5000 I guess) called Maestro by the comedian Red Skelton that always caught my attention growing up.
