Hi,
Anyone know if it is possible to use the curve editor for animation speed rather than weight?--or, is it ludicrous to think that since it would change the animation length in the timeline....

Thanks

You can just change it by making the animation bar bigger or smaller in the timeline. If you're trying to do a sudden change from normal speed to slowmo of the same animation, split the animation where you want the change to happen (right click -> split, while the timeline cursor is at the desired position on the animation) then make part of the animation fast or slow.

I had a feeling I couldn't use the curve editor for that. I'll take your advice on the workaround. Thanks much :)

I'm not saying you can't use the curve editor, I just haven't tried that. It sure would be great if you could though.

Now this is handy.  I had seen the split bit but for some reason I assumed it had to do with removing a transition between animations.  Learn something new each day.

Funny, I saw split as well, but never knew I could apply it as a "scissor" to events. Definitely learned something here  ^_^
Ever since Kilrogg wrote that, split has become one of my best friends, as opposed to manually fumbling with start and end offsets. Thanks again

Split is by far the most useful thing in the Cutscene editor.

Since this game has a bank of ~3000 animations, with enough effort you can almost get any animation you want out of cutting and combining bits of different animations.
