Okay so I cant seem to find Oghren.
I witnessed the conversation between him and the newbie dwarf warrior, talked to said newbie, and yet Oghren is nowhere to be found. He is not in the tavern as he should be. I am confus.

By the ****** of my ancestors! You will find him when you go to the deep roads, in the commons. nce Horrowmont or Behlen ask you to go there.

Weird. Are you sure whoever it is you are supporting told you to go to the deep roads and find Branka?

He only shows up when you begin to search for Branka, not the first trip to the deep roads, but the second time.



If you have Wynne in the party it is funny as hell.



Also if you have a romance with Morrigan he and her have a conversation that is funny. "go with the classics . . . "

Well on my first PC, he joined me when I was about to enter the Deep Roads after Branka. On this one, however, I got the Anvil quest, went to Carradin's Cross and yet nothing so far. Are you saying that if I leave and return he will join me?

Allistair just talked to me about the group...and he mentioned Oghren. Checked selection screen and the dwarf is not there.

Exact same issue here. Still haven't found a fix for it that triggers the meeting. I am confus.

Try going to the tavern and using 'runscript selectparty'
Kind of a last resort thing though.

All that does is bring up the partyselect screen, where yes, Oghren shows up, but wheter I have him in the party or not has no bearing on wheter or not the event triggers.

I was hoping that it was just some kind of spawnpoint issue, earlier, so I've already tried that. I remember it working in other games; manually spawning an NPC could result in an event triggering properly. Unfortunately, this doesn't actually work here.

I know it works for some other NPCs, though. For example, adding Leliana after missing her in Loithering and talking to her will trigger her first conversation. I think this also applies to Sten, if I'm not mistaken (I could be).

But not Oghren.

Oghren will join you when you are sent into the Deep Roads by either Harrowmont or Behlen to find Branka. Once you have chosen a side right after you get Jarvia's quest from either of them, a cut scene should trigger as you are leaving the diamond quarter in which Oghren will fight with someone and head off to the tavern. You can find him after that point in the tavern and speak to him, but he will only join your party as you are heading into the Deep Roads to find Branka. He will not show up when you go into the Deep Roads the first time for Behlen.

This is already mentioned in the thread. The problem is that he doesn't actually show up for everyone. There's a bug resulting in the absence of Oghren, past the Guard/Oghren meeting in the Diamon Quarter.

Did anyone solve this? I'm having the same problem on my first run at the game. I've restarted Orzammar 3 times and every time i see the argument in the diamond quarter but he disappears after that. On my first try I went all the way to the first encounter with branka and right before the cut scene with her it went to the party select screen where there was still no oghren but when the dialogue with branka started it showed the bottom half of sten and was ogren talking. I will not be playing the game anymore if I cant get this fixed so please help.
