Hi,
I'm currently looking into possibly creating a "Paladin" kind of holy warrior, heals, buffs. Mostly a group support character... however, there is one major problem with the concept... the way spells and gear works.
I need to roll a mage in order to have heals, there's no work around it.
However, in order to wear higher tiers of heavy plate, a shield and a 1-hander, I need high strenght.
I've encountered this ability and was wondering if I was reading correctly:
Combat Magic
While this mode is active, the arcane warrior channels magic inward, trading increased fatigue for an attack bonus and the ability to use spellpower to determine combat damage. Aura of Might and Fade Shroud improve the effects. Additionally, regardless of whether the mode is active, an arcane warrior who has learned this spell may use the magic attribute to satisfy the strength requirement to equip higher-level weapons and armor.
Am I reading this correctly?! This ability would allow me to wear heavy plate as the strenght requirements would translate into magic requirements?!
If I am reading this correctly, then I think I can still hope to succesfully create a holy warrior with a mage specced for Arcane Warrior and Spiritual Healer!
Please someone confirm I am reading this correctly, as my day will improve by 10 folds!
Possible "Paladin" build?

Anyone know if that same Arcane Warrior talent covers Shields as well?

That sounds very interesting indeed. Even though my first playthrough will probably be as a tank (Easiest to get hold of in a new game imho) but if this game is anything like Drakensang I should be able to reroll a Paladin/Arcane Mage soon enough. (When I know how the game works)

... I might as well say this... to get your hopes up, though im not giving away details as to gear and other stuff I use which is important to my characters success BUT.
I can solo Normal with only my Arcane Warrior/ Spirit Healer. no party members with me. (Not everything mind you, but 90% of it im solo worthy)

How has it been with Arcane Warrior weapon & armor power in terms of mana consumption vs extra survivablility?

Watched the youtube video and seems like an awesome build but im having troubles researching how to build an Arcane Warrior. The video mentioned you needed to build the arcane mage up so im guessing specific stats and spells are recommended. Also, any idea where the quest Nature of the Beast begins? It was referenced in the movie.

Nature of the Beast is the quest to gain allies in Brecillian Forest, in the course of it you can discover the Arcane Warrior Specialisation, if you explore and keep your eyes open and are very nice.
