I don't even want to think of the possibilities if they can move their tentacles without using their hands

Just think of what could happen with just their ears...

For the FemShep/Liara pairing, that's... ew.

How do we know they speak english? Do you realize how many languages there are, just on earth?

I assume some of them speak English or "human-common" (I assume there is one, it's pretty much English currently.) since you'd need translators to work on updating and upgrading the translation modules, as well as for times when people want a "smarter" translation.

Also, I assume plenty of Turians speak the common Asari language, and so on and so forth...

In ME1, in the BDtS DLC, there is a codex entry talking about language translators.  Presumably, most members of "alien" races speak their own language, and it's translated so that members of other races can understand.  Why all alien languages have mouth movements that look so much like english I don't quite get though...

Yes, but dear child, somebody had to MAKE those translators. And, try using a computer translator sometime... it's currently something we're pretty ****ty at. There clearly would have to be people who speak a wide variety of language fluently in order to continue to support changing linguistic trends, new slang, and just generally improve the quality of translation.

The real problem isn't so much the lip movment (that's to keep everythign from looking like a bad imported movie) but the fact that everyone who talks to Shepard actually behaves as if they're speaking English (or whatever localization fo the game you have) by using phrases like "what is that quaint human expression?" and other similar phrases, as well as having trouble explaining cultural concepts in your puny human communication.

Lord Woo chopped my well thought out, but misplaced post in about 3.5 seconds. And then there is this.

Oh well. I suppose Femshep's and Liara's back door lovin' is still Mass Effect related.

They have to have a hole somewhere

how would it be for a male Shepard otherwise

dont make me answer that

Well, I'm sure Shepard could figure something out, but yeah without a hole the asari babies would have no means of escape.

The mouth maybe? hahaha

They do have female parts, yes. But it isn't needed to reproduce.

Nobody moderates these boards, there's just a bot that has access to a wide variety of accounts that occaisonally comes by to arbitrarily lock and delete things that require it the least about once a week or so.

And you're the one being more off-topic than anyone else here.

Ya know, I don't know if you've ever paid much attention to bots on forums, but they tend not to be so effective at moderating.

on a more related note, at least bioware can't claim they aren't females anymore.

I presume they give birth through the belly button than?

Ah, the belly button. Further proof of sexual reproduction.... because that wasn't already established by them being monogendered and not asexual.

I assume they meant that the lady parts aren't needed to conceive the child, they are needed to pop the bastard out though.

You know, one thing that's bugged me...

If Asari are a completely different species, how the hell do they mate with those other species? The thing which seperates one species from another is their inability to interbreed.

Read your codex, talk to that one asari with the Krogan shouting poetry at her, or vaguely pay attention to the setting at some point and you'll get your answer.

No, that isn't answer, in fact it's the very problem I'm raising.

A species are seperated by their inability to breed. If an Asari can breed with any other species in the galaxy then it's not really a seperate species is it?
