In case anyone was dumb like me, the string name is for the regedit key is "FaceFXStudioPath" not just FaceFX and it is the value that has to be "Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\tools\\FaceFX" (as the picture shows :P)

Hope it helps some people who tried the fix but still didn't have the options show up.

I'm very sorry that this is a bump, but I didn't want to just get redirected here if I made [yet another] re-hashed version of someone's FaceFX complaints.

I have gone into my registry, but the path to the FaceFX app was already correct. I tried reinstalling everything from scratch and I still was not able to get FaceFX working. This is a huge set back-- is it possible that there is another work around?

If anyone actually checks this out, thanks.

The path is set properly to facefx in regedit, but it doesn't show up in the toolset menus.

OK guys everyone who isnt getting it in the toolset, even though the registry path is correct, I have a solution for you !!

I found smthing that fixes the command line to show ( as well as all others that were missing)

In the toolset go to Tools-Options-Enviroment as you will be able to see there, the options are all set to false, change them to true and you have a working generate facesFX command.....

Ok but now for some reason when i press generate Vo Local or Generate FaceFX i get the error message (in the toolset log) that says Faile to refresh perforce ticket. if anyone knows smthing about that plz say

I haven't been able to find anything that isn't already covered here or in the wiki. Perhaps you could describe the problem you are having (this thread seems to cover at least two). Also if you can, please include your operating system (e.g. Window 7 64-bit); which edition/patch of the game (e.g. Ultimate Edition) and which version of the toolset (e.g. Version 1.01).

The same problem, "Failed to refresh perforce ticket". I cannot generate Face FX.
I have Toolset 1.01 Version, Dragon Age 1.4, Windows Xp.

I assume by following that advice you changed both Enable Alternate Game Build and Enable Perforce for Resource Build to True. Since Perforce is the source control BioWare use I suspect, at the very least, you want to change the second one back to False.

Just to clarify: you have checked the following key exists in your registry?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Toolset\\Environment

And that its value points to the right path, i.e. to where FxStudio.exe is installed on your computer? Since you have Windows XP it should be something like:

C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\tools\\FaceFX

Thanks I got it to work, if I presume right, I didint go to the right HKEY at the first time. Enabled the second one to False and it worked!!. But now, as Wiki says, Ive made a voice-over recording, with all the details in place, but the toolset wont pick up my recording. I hope you can also assist me with this. Thank you alot, for youre time Sunjammer!

If you are still looking for an answer on this you may want to start a new thread as people may overlook this one (also it makes it easier for others with the same issue to find in future). Outline what you did (for example if you extending an existing conversation or creating a new one; how you named the VO files; which folder you put them; etc.) and where it appears to be failing.

Hrm, so has any solution been found to this?
I'm under Win7, and tried everything that's listed here.
The key and proper value already existed in the registry.
EDIT> oh nvmind, sorry about that, I had to make "New conversation" to see the options...
