What? You can't blame him for being the way he is when he's been shunned and mocked his entire life, save for Duncan who becomes like a father to him. He only protests at bringing Zevran and Shale with because of the danger of it, but doesn't suggest killing them. He has never expressed a desire to kill the blood mage in the Tower, or Jowan either (you lose approval if he's unhardened), so I don't know where you get that from. Loghain kills the only family he's ever had, and along with them the only person who has ever cared about him. How is Alistair wanting to kill Loghain any different from the HN wanting to kill Howe?

5% of my hate goes to Alister the rest goes to Morrigan for those not in the know.
I am going to watch firefly for now so relaxing it is.

However instead of being a blinkin GREY WARDEN when the cards are down, when things do not go his way he storms off.
Its funny how people bash him for being a whiner and weak and then when he finally stands up for himself and HIS believes they are mad too because they dont happen to like it....

I like it when people stand up on their own, but not when the freaking archdemon is knawing at ones knickers.

hmmm.. let's see...
1. He does not trust an assassin who tried to assassinate the Warden and his party, and feels he should be shown no mercy. Makes sense.
2. He does not trust a giant rock golem who killed her former master and has disdain for humans and can seemly squash the Warden when she pleases. Oh and the control rod doesn't work. Makes sense
3. He does not trust a blood mage who tried to assassinate his adopted father, and feels he should be shown no mercy. Makes sense
4. He does not trust a man who basically committed regicide and turned his back on thousands, including many people in his own order (Wardens) and and feels he should be shown no mercy.
What is so unreasonable here? How many of you would turn the other cheek if this was real life and not some video game? I only spared Zevran because I wanted to be able to have all accessible party members. But if I didn't know some background on him by visiting the DA:O webpage, I would never, ever have taken the chance to trust him. Jowan, well I felt he was sincere but it wasn't my adopted father he tried to kill. Shale... well... I dunno. I was neutral to Shale. And Loghain, his crimes speak for itself. But I did want him to join to redeem himself and Alistair did annoy me with his hissyfit there I admit.

Apart from serving the story, his hissy fit at the Landsmeet is perfectly understandable. He sees the Grey Wardens as his surrogate family. Duncan saved him and gave him somewhere to belong. Loghain took that all away and now you're suggesting letting Loghain join his family! Of course he's going to object.
Wow, now I've convinced myself its not just a tanty ;-)

W: Im sure Duncan would approve of throwing your small clothes..
AL:Its suddenly a little cold in here

I let Lohgain live because alistair wasnt thinking like a grey warden.*do whatever it takes to defeat darkspawn*rejecting a powerful recruit would not help them but accepting them would. Also they should have talked about the war ferelden had with orlais so more people could understand lohgain better.
Alistair to me was 65% ok 35% not ok.
