I've used forum search but there is no answer to this: if you have several (2,3) mages with Animate Dead spell and/or several rangers who can summon pets, can you have several summoned creatures simultaneously? I'm asking about latest 1.02 version of course.
It appears that summoning a pet de-summons the animated dead and vice versa. Can you have several pets/animated dead though?

Unfortunately you cannot have both on the PS3, only on the pc.

Now that is strange. Ruins part of strategical planning for me. They should patch it.

Actually it was patched so you could NOT have multiple pets. Prior to 1.02, a ranger could summon a pet while one was already active, this of course causes the first one to die, however you have Wynne or your own spirit healer cast revive and viola, two pets...

So, they ruined that on purpose. Fascinating.

Yeah it boggles the mind how they decided mages were too powerful for Origins and so basically "nerfed/gimped" them w/ the first patch(ever since then even w/ seriously maxed spellpower, base level creatures can completely resist spells. Just how the f**k does a wolf resist virulent walking bomb?)but then turn around and release Awakening were a mage can become as powerful as an Old God???

It boggles my mind that they haven't even added to Animate Dead/Summon creature abilities a simple note: "Only 1 summoned creature can be present in the party". So now you invest into Ranger and Animate Dead and then realize that one of these is 100% useless.

EXACTLY. In one of my play throughs, I wanted to role play an evil blood mage wench who resurrects people she just killed and then blood sacrifices animals to heal herself. Quite peaved when I found out I could not do it...
