This thread is for the future release of Litho's in June (hopefully) and the continued talk on Lithographs in general, preferably concerning the Lithographs to come.  Since many wished for a new, clean topic to be created and Jedi has not done so yet, I decided to go ahead and create it so as to hopefully help the subscribers keep track and stay interested.  Note - due to the speculation and back-and-forth on possible future Litho's, this thread does in-fact contain spoilers of the games and should only be veiwed with that point understood.

Jedi, whatever happened to this?  I mean, did two of the ME2 Litho's turn into DA:O and the entire thing got delayed?...or are there actually 8 coming?  Clarification would be awesome or even any sort of general update concerning the June release if you happen to know anything more...

And everyone else - lets speculate (try to keep up a minimal post-count).  Given the apparently single release of 2x ME2 Lithos and 2x DA:O Lithos to come, and under an assumption of mine that 1 each will be character and 1 each will be landscape (Correction*  - it has been confirmed that the two ME2 Litho's are both landscape - neither of them will be character based...no word on the DA:O Lithos):

ME2 Lithos - For the character, considering the Talimancers (and I'm almost fearful to speculate in this 'direction', but...) I'm willing to bet that it's going to feature Tali - either as a singular character, or possibly a group *+ Tali - or it might be Legion, come to think of it.  As far as what the other could be, I'm unsure - but it seems that almost every Lithograph so far for ME2 has come outa the Art Book that came with the CE of the game.  After flipping through that book, two landscapes that havn't been used yet really shot out at me - one being Purgatory and the other being an interior shot of the Normandy; from the Commanders Galaxy Map looking towards the cockpit...though I really hope they go an original route and provide us with something no one has seen yet.  Thoughts?

DA:O Lithos - I fear that one will likely be a character profile - which honestly, I can't think of a particular character that would deserve a spot more than another (they all have many fans)...aside from maybe Morrigan - she has many fans, but i don't particularly enjoy her character much and shes already too overexposed as it is (besides, i always think of Morrigan in the price of power Litho - even though it isn't her).  My cluelessness continues with the landscape - DA:O really hasn't had one (aside from maybe price of power...?) and there doesn't exist any source (at least not one i can find) depicting anything else.  So, my mind wanders through Orzammar, the Deep Roads, the Circle Tower, Korcari Wilds, Vigil's Keep/Wardens Keep...castles/keeps in general peak my interest, but your-alls thoughts?

I also want to know what happened to the four lithograph. I would have bought them all. Maybe they are releasing lithographs in 2 over time instead of a large bunch over a long period of time?

This new thread was long overdue. We really should have separate ones for each release, but with the somewhat vague re-releases it just never got done I guess.



I have my faith that the next four will be just as awesome as all of the previous ones. I believe the four ME2 lithographs just morphed into 2 from ME and 2 from DA:O. I am incredibly doubtful that he was implying there to be eight new releases. I assumes that this was implied but I guess there wasn't ever a concrete yes/no. Can't blame Jed.



For DA:O, I would also be interested in some castles/keeps, but the Warden Stronghold from near the beginning of the game with the backdrop of the forest was really nice.



Also, I wonder why Afterlife isn't sold out yet. I thought it was one of the more popular. I snagged an extra for potential trading in the future.

As much as i like garrus, the litho didn't look that pretty for me. more detail perhaps? dunno, it was missing something~ so i hope the next character litho does it for me

I think that's wise.  Illium is one of the most sought after Lithos of them all... perhaps only beaten by the most holy grail of them all - ME:1 Saren.  If you’ve got Illium, hold onto it with both hands.  Arguably, the others will always be easier and cheaper to obtain I think.

Little off topic, yet on topic at the same time.



I checked out twice on friday, 2 lithos at a time, $72.90 both times. That's a total of $145.80, but my PayPal account hasn't been charged at all. Both payment statuses are still pending...



Is this normal??

Yes thats normal Jay, Bioware doesn't actually charge your card/paypal till the order ships. They just secure the funds ahead of time too ensure future payment, thats why it says pending. When the order ships it will show as fully charged, etc. just like any other time you have used Paypal.

I agree. I wasn't enamored with it because of what I saw as a continuity issue - it's supposed to be Garrus taking his helmet off and revealing his identity to Shepard for the first time. Yet his armor appears to be already chewed up, but that only happens once the merc bands begin their push against all of them and he gets wrecked by the chopper. If I have another opportunity to get one I'd certainly consider adding it to my collection, but my price/trade point would be decidedly lower than any of the other lithos.

The Purgatory one seems to fit the running theme also with a similar art style and taking up at least a whole page like the others from the book that have been made lithos, but I think the color scheme is too monochromatic to make it really desirable. Regardless of how good it looks in person, if it doesn't grab your attention from a thumbnail view it might not sell well (like the Collectors one STILL not selling out). For something of an original piece, I think the old Quarian station that's used as a base by the pro-Reaper Geth could be pretty slick. Only drawback is that it's supposed to be in deep space with nothing around it, so the scenery/backdrop might need some creativity.

For the presumed character litho - I remember Jedi once mentioning something about how he was pulling for a Tali litho also, but my personal vote is for Samara. The image of her using her biotics to fly down is one that stuck so vividly that I can still see it in my mind's eye. I also think they have to do something Reaper-related at some point. Maybe like the Reaper-human larva or something (unless they're holding off for some really badass reaper stuff in ME3). I would love a litho of the blown out shell of a reaper that you board to get the IFF device.

I don't own Dragon Age and all I've played of it at a friend's house was up to getting Morrigan, but I think some sort of image of Ostagar would be cool. Sort of like this, but I think a flyover/aerial view of the whole place would be best.

Don't try to verify this but Purgatory was going to be one of the new lithos but they decided against this.

As for DA lithos, I'd rather have something that symbolizes the game. Citadel for ME was a great one, due to its unique architecture and relation to the ME universe. If they chose to do scenery for DA then I'd want something that epitomizes the world. I can't think of any point in the game, though, that couldn't be replaced in any other medieval story. Icy Mountain, Castle Town, Ruined Structure. Only the Deep Roads stand out a bit for me, but I think that'd make an ugly image. Then again that grotesque imagery might be appealing! Giger and such.

Jack sat in the store forever as well, but personally I liked it. Like I've been saying, I like pretty much anything that comes out because each one has its own way of being awesome. I was feeling more meh about Collectors than I was for Jack, but now I love Collectors. Not much of a contribution here, but just a comment about how fans think differently for each litho. I can understand why most people don't like Collectors or Jack, but I'm glad they were released.

So here is an incomplete answer to some of the questions. We're working with the BioWare ME2 and DAO art teams to get great Lithographs released. That being said they have a lot of their plates so the time-line and number of lithographs keeps changing. I'm not sure if posted the most recent information is helpful since I realize that it changes a lot.

Well, that makes me happy.  Even if I don't get a Joker/Tali or Normandy one, at least I'll get that one I've had my eye on for a while now. 

As for DAO lithos, I've never bought any but seeing as my character was a mage and the Tower being out in the middle of a lake...it makes for a pretty interesting picture, whether day or night.  Just my two cents.

What I'd like to see for DAO, in no particular order.

As someone already mentioned though, there are not that many environmental concept art pieces that are out on the internet that really capture what Dragon Age is, they're a bit interchangeable with other fantasy settings.

So character lithos would be good, or at least one character and one environment.

Rather dissapointing that this will be one of the 2 in my opinion.  Where is that image, is it somewhere on Omega or the Citadel?  I don't ever remember seeing those neon signs lol.  We already have the Afterlife litho that is similar too this one, give me something different!

Thanks for bearing with our impatience Jed, and that was quite a welcome update. Nice to know we can have some influence on these awesome releases.

Tenny, it appears that you were right all along. That one will look very nice on a lithograph, and I'm really looking forward to the surprise.

Kilrogg, I'm not that big on the DA:O artwork, but I like nearly any forested scene. As for ME lithos, I'd rather have something other than wallpapers that are already released, but I do like that shot. I know Illium and a few of the other lithos were just ported wallpapers, which is cool and all, but I like the surprise with original releases. Having said that, I'm perfectly fine with one wallpaper port + something new for each batch. Tali is now out of the question on this batch, but we can still have hope!

The above post was made while I was typing: I always thought that Afterlife was going to prevent the above picture from being made, as they are quite similiar as you mentioned, but I do like that image. The surreal/blurred imagery is similiar to Afterlife, but it's been requested forever, so it can't be that bad.

I'm excited that new ones are coming, but a bit sad it will be the last for a while. I was hoping we'd see a few more and I'd really love to get character ones for each, but doubt that would be even possible. It's good news to see DAO ones though. I think it's been sorely missing.



Dan Matrix, that art is from Citadel. I think it suits it pretty good, though in game it's more white. I kinda wish they made Citadel wards feel more like this.



I think the surprise one would be made Horizon or Purgatory. Personally I'm hoping Normandy
