Got to agree with Dan. A time would be nice with the day.

So do I. I appreciate what Jedi is trying to do, but it is really getting frustrating.

Yeah... still we all appreciate your efforts Jedi :D

Though at least I didn't miss anything so far this time too. I think we all need to make litho buying buddies for when life happens.

I mean, Jedi is doing a great job and things like this are out of his hands. I dont want to turn this into a **** fest. BUt maybe these should be offered for presale once they are received, known to be in good condition, all signed etc...

I too appreciate Jedi's efforts but if they'd just wait and set everything up, they could then set a concrete date/time for release.  Jedi wouldn't even have to come on here and give updates.  Atleast then they could eliminate alot of factors that could hamper the release and no one would be left too twiddle their thumbs all day in frustration.  Image IPB

Is this one of those items that sells out within minutes? They should make at least 1000 of each. I bought a Minuteman Lithograph on Ebay. I love it, but in hindsight i paid way to much for it. I paid 125 dollars just to get it framed professionally. :(.........

If they make a thousand, then they have to drop the price. I am fine with paying $30 for limited artwork, but once you go from 300 prints to 1000, I am going to balk on the price. As I said before, if I am buying something that is being printed like a poster, I am going to pay poster prices (ie. ~$10)

And I really hope they set strict limits on how many a person can order. Last time around, certain ebay sellers sold more than 50 lithos a piece. That shouldn't be happening.

Yes, but 1000 is still very limited. If they limit one of each per household, then i would be fine with 300 and 500 prints. 30 dollars is a steal for these beautiful prints.

Well....I wasn't here all day (finally back from work!) so I guess while I was worrying there wouldn't be any left, you all were wondering if they'd ever pop up. Of course, when I did get back and saw they were gone from the lithograph page I freaked.

I'm sorry guys that it's been a crappy day so far. On the bright side, at least Jedi let us know what the problem was. However, I wouldn't be too mad at Jedi. Customs will get to it when they get to it. ~sighs~

I believe anyone who goes out of their way to wait up is responsible for their own actions. I also believe Bioware owes us nothing and that Jedi has done all he can to try to make the people here happy. (braver than me, I gave up on that a long time ago...)

Not if we hang out till 10pm and then Jedi tells us to wait for tomorrow between 8am and 9pm.

Edit: So anyone who goes out of their way to get something they really want before the resellers swarm and list 400 of these for $200 a piece on ebay, gets what they deserve if they have to wait?

I agree. If you're waiting up/cancelling plans, that's entirely your own problem.

So let's sum it up: we constantly press Mr. Seigle for a release date (while he should be able to enjoy his still-newly-wed status) and blame him for acts that are beyond his control when the date is not met. The store even increased numbers of prints so no one has to stay up awfully late or get up awfully early or cancel plans and worry about getting one - and still all we do is complaining and complaining and complaining. Image IPB

At least, this is the impression I get from some of the comments. I don't get you sometimes, seriously. I am obsessed with art prints, too, but hell, this isn't all that matters in life. Sometimes you behave crazier than some of those unlucky persons in medical forums when a medicament is not released on time.
So, just let's all calm down and return relaxed in a few hours. The servers will thank us. Peace. Image IPB

Yes, you are, presumably, an adult, which means you make your own choices. If you are a automaton or an Eliza, then you have my apologies. Otherwise, your choice to stay up is yours. You have to live with the consequences of your actions, that's what I'm saying plain as day, without the need for rhetorical questions.

Edit: spelling.

Its unprofessional in my opinion.

If you we're doing pre-orders something like this would be understandable because the buyers know and have agreed that they will recieve the item whenever it comes in.

When your doing things the way they are now, where they will not release them until they have them in the warehouse, placing a release date is pointless.  For the sole reason that things like this happen, it makes you look unprofessional, people get angry, problems occur, etc.

All they'd have to do is wait and  take their time.  Recieve the items, sort them, inspect them and set up the site.  Then they can freely set a date and time with no worries of unknown delays, selling damaged lithos/unsigned lithos, etc.   It could also make their shipping times quicker from someone placing an order to actually shipping it.

Thats all I'm saying today, I will wait patiently for atleast an update and hopefully we can all purchase our lithos and move on soon.

If Bioware were to limit the amount of lithos to one per customer, I probably wouldn't feel the need to stay home and refresh the page every five minutes. But, like other people have stated, people are scooping these up by the ton to sell on ebay for disgusting amounts of money. I knew what could happen if I cancelled my plans, but these lithos have meaning to me, and they are something I really want. I appreciate what Jedi is doing, but I was a little frustrated when the original time stated was not to be.

Unfortunately, you're right. I forgot somehow. I'd thought we would be a little more civilized here than (some of) the users from the rest of the boards. Image IPB -The exclusive lithography lovers.-

I am not blaming him for the delay, I understand that it was out of his control. But he had previously stated several times to expect them to go up early this afternoon. I think most of us just wish they wouldn't announce anything until they have them on hand and ready to go out in the mail.

Given how rampant reselling was on the last set of prints, I am expecting this round to be much worse. So many people saw how much money others made on ebay/craigslist/etc. on the last batch, so they will be out in droves to make money this time. I wasn't happy with the print increase, I (and I know some you will look down your nose at this, but I do not care) like that they were very limited runs. The problem was not how many were printed, but how many were bought in bulk ( I previously documented a single ebay member selling 51 lithos) and resold.

In short: don't tell us to expect them until we can most-definitely-beyond-a-shadow-of-a-doubt expect them & and put a strong limit on how many can be ordered per address. We waited here today because we were told they would be out, stop with this pseudo-philosophical jargon on how we made our own beds and must accept the consequences. We were told they would be out between 12 and 2, so we showed up.

The way I see it, the only mistake Jedi made was announcing they'd be up in the next two hours.  He should have just left his original announcement saying they'd be available for Friday.  So long as they get go up for sale by end of day Friday, what has anyone got to complain about?

And yes, I agree, I don't think anyone is going to miss out even if you decide to go out to the pub on a Friday night , have a bit of a laugh with mates, sleep half the day on Saturday and then place yer order in the afternoon.  Let's get a grip. Image IPB

I don't think you guys have to worry about these selling out that fast. They look good, but they ain't that great. I don't see any point for resellers trying to stock up on the current ones. It takes too much work trying to list and wait for it to sell only to make some okay money. You also have to worry about the condition of the lithographs. The only real money makers were the earlier ones.

All of the past group of lithos, with he exception of Collectors, has sold for more than $100 at least once on ebay (Citadel, TIM, Omega, Minuteman, Garrus usually go much higher, Jack and Afterlife float in the $75 range). So there is money to be made, not Saren or Illium money, but plenty for a savy reseller.
