And yes, I agree, I don't think anyone is going to miss out even if you decide to go out to the pub on a Friday night , have a bit of a laugh with mates, sleep half the day on Saturday and then place yer order in the afternoon.  Let's get a grip. Image IPB

Exactly. When the Illusive Man and Afterlife were initially released I believe it took four days for the Illusive Man to sell out and about a week for Afterlife. Yes I know the Citadel sold out in a few hours but there was a huge pent-up demand for that one. I think we'll have several days to order these new lithos, if not longer.

^The Citadel also had a lot fewer numbers due to it being a stack they had misplaced.

All of the past group of lithos, with he exception of Collectors, has sold for more than $100 at least once on ebay (Citadel, TIM, Omega, Minuteman, Garrus usually go much higher, Jack and Afterlife float in the $75 range). So there is money to be made, not Saren or Illium money, but plenty for a savy reseller.

That's why they should allow only one purchase per house. I get frustrated by those who buy 10 litographs just to resell them on Ebay :(

Do you have a phone you can order from?

Whoa Ice, I didn't see you there.  No, I didn't.  I work in the dungeon and have no cell signal there.  I'd have tried to check online once or twice during the day but, I know it's monitored so...while I'm here I can't.

While I also do not like the idea of people reselling the lithos we do live in a capitalist world where there is a way to make money someone will use it.  Even if you put a limit of 1 per household or 1 per person people can always find a way to beat it if they see the profit as worth the effort and while I'd hate to pay $100+ for a $30 item this is the world we live in and things aren't going to change nor am I sure that they should.

Putting in the time, effort, and risk in order to make a profit is the business model all great companies work on how would you like to go to your local game store when ME3 is released only to be told sorry we are all out bioware put a limit on this games release we were only allowed to order 1 copy of the game.  While I am aware these resellers are no companies or businesses and thus my example is a stretch it really isn't that big a leap.

Is there a list somewhere of all the Mass Effect and Dragon Age Lithos so far?

Posting from a friend's iPhone here, and I must agree with stardazzled. While we were given a date, you can't expect nothing to go wrong. We pestered him for a date so he have us one based on what he knew. If you decided to alter your plans based on a predicted release time then that is your responsibility. With 500 prints I can almost definitely say that you will have at least half a day before the lithos get anywhere near sold out, and while te resellers are an annoyance I don't think they threaten the stock that much.

Final Update of the day - Lithographs are delayed in customs. To make sure we avoid any of the issues with shipping delays we are going to push the pre-sale until early next week. I'll touch base early in the week with a new ETA.

Have a great weekend.

Thank you.

I wish they would release a coffee table style art book with all the ME, ME2, Dragon Age, etc. litho images.  The lithos are great but I only have room for maybe 4.  It would be nice to have a compliation of all of these fantastic images to view.

Well I disagree with your point. The thing is the ME3 games are NOT limited editions. You can keep pumping out ME3 games for as long as there is a demand. The supply can theoretically be infinite. However in the case of these lithographs they are only limited editions. The supply is very limited and people are just abusing the system by buying more than one and reselling them. I myself have gone to ebay in search for a citadel and the bid right now is at $190. That's ridiculous.
I agree that the 1 per household won't stop everyone but bioware could do a shipment track. Eg. even if some guy ordered 10 lithos with different names/credit cards it would probably still be delivered to the same place. If there's 10 lithos all bound for the same address then they know something will be wrong. This isn't fullproof but by not advertising bioware is doing this they might be able to limit these abusers.

On another note, they could've put this topic on their twitter or something as I thought that all the lithos were sold out. Looking at these new lithos though, they don't seem as cool as the citadel or minuteman so I don't think the demand will be too high (they've also increased the number). I really hope they come out with some similar to the citadel and minuteman again, they were awesome.

/end rant

1. They probably did not put them on twitter because they only do when the things really are up for sale.
2. You can always check with the store forum. ALWAYS.

@ ilikeicehockey nothing is ever in infinite supply but that issue aside how limited something is only increases it's value if citadel is being sold at $190+ then clearly someone is willing to pay that for the item capitalism wins again if it wasn't worth that much money or if it was "ridiculous" no one would be bidding that much (or more) as I've said I'm not personally happy about it but there is no abusing the system going on this IS the system weather or not you like the system is another story but just because someone is using the system exactly as it was intended doesn't mean they are abusing it.

This is all basic economics supply and demand if you control the supply and demand is high you can charge whatever you want so long as someone is willing to pay. Personally I'm not willing to pay $190+ for these lithos despite how upset I would be to miss out on them

edit for typos

If you read my statement carefully I said theoretically there could be infinite supply. With the resources they could pump out ME3 for as long as needed. But these lithos have a strictly limited supply. Clearly it is not at equilibrium when demand heavily outweighs supply and the price increases. This makes the market inefficient. I myself am studying economics so I have thoroughly learned about supply and demand. As well, Jedi has shown concern toward the unhappiness people are feeling toward buyers purchasing multiple copies. He has asked for input on whether or not they should implement a one per household limit. This clearly shows that Bioware's intentions are to try to give everyone a fair chance at acquiring one of these lithos. They are not trying to promote this system of buying and reselling at high prices.

P.S. you should still check your comment for typos (weather should be whether)

Sometimes, you're too impatient. Image IPB He promised an update early this week but that doesn't necessarily mean Monday, and it's still morning in Denver (if my clock is right). So there's lots of time left.

edit: especially for Charles; did not change the time although it's almost 1 p.m. now and therefore afternoon
