Starting to feel like we're not gonna get a Normandy litho....

So I'd like to compromise, give us a ship, any ship! So long as it's cool looking and has a starscape backdrop. It would be the epitome of Sci-Fi Nerdiness Litho!!!! hnngnn please! I would give up my quads for it!!! >.<

you know they released a litho of the Minuteman right? wouldn't that count for your "any ship" request or do you consider it something other than a ship

Well, Minuteman is a space station. It's more like Cerberus' headquarters because that's where you go after your Lazarus revival and where you pick up the new Normandy.

The Gernsback isn't all that appealing to me...something about the fact that it's of a human construction and a ruin of its former, glorious self just isn't attractive.  And it's merely a story element of one of the side missions to a single crewman in ME2 - certainly not 'the big picture' or even a key element when compared with the likes of the Citadel, Omega, or Minuteman (the same can be said for Purgatory, though).

The ship posted by Kilrogg i like - if only i knew what it was. I mean, maybe its a dreadnought/carrier under construction in a human shipyard?...maybe? I know I've never been to any location like it in the ME games - or arguably read any such description in the books/comics - ...the complete lack of background information regarding it causes an almost complete loss of interest for me.

Personally, I'd like Litho's that will be universally known throughout the MEU or DA:O story.  The Citadel or the (seemingly immortal / always vigilant) Illusive Man seem to be static concepts in MEU while Price of Power points out the Ferelden concept of magic and its series-wide impact/threat to the general magic user...it's why I wish to own them - hopefully someday I'll get my PoP...and I can only hope that those Litho's to come will fit this ideal basic ideal.

Ok, so it's not just me. I kept looking at that and found it on the website and blew it up, but for the life of me still could not place it and started to think the worst - that my ME nerdiness wasn't at the level I thought I'd long been at.

As for the Citadel Wards image that's confirmed to be coming up next, I have yet to actually weigh in on it so here's my two cents. Good long stretches in both of the games so far take place there, so it makes perfect sense for a litho. And on a somewhat facetious note, maybe just as an image it might evoke Blade Runner more than ME to some people, but when the Mass Effect 2 logo is printed to the bottom left of it like it is with every litho, I think that takes care of any misinterpretation :P.

That's not a starship, that's an orbital spacestation.

I've been on the fence with Price of Power ever since seeing it. I never picked it up, and I had no interest in it, but now that everyone is praising it so much it's making me take a second look...

i actually don't like these 2 for a lithograph. its flat, uninteresting to me. then added i have no real attachment to these ships/ports (hey is that a round thing from stargate?!)

Interesting comments on the citadel/nightlife litho though. i really like it because its also ambiguous. people can still appreciate it even if they don't know where its from.(that dont know of MEU) i'll go out and say i like it better than minute man or omega, even though they are iconic areas.
am i odd? lol

Replace the citadel nightlife with the Asari Pole dancer and I don't care what they other look like. I'll still get it.

As for the second ME2 one, I would kill for one of these:

I will totally help you dispose of the body.  That looks amazing.

I would buy that in a heaertbeat, it's beautiful. Like others have said, the confirmed one posted upthread is a bit too similar to Afterlife for my tastes, but it's still pretty. Won't buy it, though.

And normally I avoid character posters or lithos as well, but the Illusive Man is cool enough to transcend that rule for me! :P

You guys might get your wish perhaps...  It maybe a little off topic of Lithos, but I came across an interesting inteview with Matt Rhodes about Concept art published by the Machinama.com guys.

Mass Effect 2 Concept Artist

I can say its definitely worth 5mins of your life and I personally found it quite informative.  What I found even more interesting was the wall art (lithos?) they show presumably at Bioware. It's about 1:36-1:45 in...

The second picture in that quick sequence caught my attention the most... it's the only one I didn't recognize.

JestersWingman you beat me to it. The one following Afterlife at 1:41-1:42 really caught my eye. Does anyone know how to copy that image from the video or has anyone seen it elsewhere?

...looks like a look at the front of the club on Omega - not sure though. @Quazilogic - nice find, but kinda a let down...was hoping for some actual info on wtf the "human shipyard" one is...though it did look pretty sexy on the wall.

It's the front of Afterlife, where the bouncer is. I'm having a hard time identifying the one to the right of it unless I'm stupid and it's one we already have. It's not in the lithograph form and I'm sure they have tons of concept art hanging around the studio, so I wouldn't say its guaranteed to be the next litho.

Oh, it's Wrex. Actually watching the video helped. Also, thanks for that, nice find.

quazilogic, thank you for recommending that awesome video. It was very cool to finally put a face to Matt Rhodes and seemingly meet the man who has signed a number of the prints we own.

Sorry if this is a little off topic.  I'm new to the whole displaying artwork other than just beer signs and band flags so I was wondering what everyone was using to hang their lithographs in. Frames I know , but there are different options(acid free matting, UV glass, hangers, etc.) and I was looking for descriptions and a ballpark price so when I check out a couple framing stores in the area I don't seem completely clueless. Plus it wouldn't hurt to not get jacked on the price since I see some more of these in my future.

Thanks for any help.:D

Ressinister I just bought a cheap acid free portfolio to put mine in since I have so many, and I did some "custom" matting using tissue paper with a cardboard and plastic frame for 4 of my lithos. It's bad, I know, but I figure that the artwork won't be permanently damaged before I have to pack up everything and move in a few months, which is when I may invest in a better presentation method.

I say you should always have acid free matting and materials, but the UV blocking glass isn't that important for anything that isn't ancient. You should never let direct sunlight contact your lithos, and mine are nearly always in the dark. I just think that my room is too hot of a place to store them. Now that it's summer I get sweaty every night from the heat and I believe they should be kept in a more cool place. I hope it doesn't cause too many problems...

Interesting, Erik... I personally would never buy them if I wasn't going to display them in my room. Are you planning to sell them later or something?

Me too. But still, a new litho is better than no litho ;)
