This is true.  I've ordered a Wards lithograph from the Bioware Store a few weeks back, and saw higher numbers on E-bay for a while before I had even received mine.  Luck of the draw.

From my experience and reading on the boards ordering earlier does NOT guarantee lower numbers.

I only say earlier because the last two orders I've done were very quick to the listing and I got really low numbers. I believe they are finally doing numbers based on orders. The difference on when people recieve their lithos may vary due to shipping.

Thank god I read the forum, I thought I lost out on the Normandy since it says out of stock. It was the one thing I wanted for my birthday last Sunday.

I think Citadel did in March, but that was a very limited run. From what I understand, they released most of them in November, and then found about 40 or so that they had misplaced later on in March.

What most people don't know, is that the Illium and Citadel litho moved around. First it sold on BioWare's own website but went out of stock when they moved their store to EA. The EA store had the items however, the only way to locate the Mass Effect lithos, posters, and shep statue was to type "Mass Effect" into the EA Store search bar. Then they went out of stock there and created the BioWare Store. I bought my Citadel from the EA Store. They shipped it in a large box while the litho was wrapped in paper. It kept the litho in perfect condition.

I didn't realize that, I got my Citadel through the Bioware store back in March with the 2 Dragon Age lithos
