Those new Lithographs! (ver. 2)

I make my best effort to check the forums and store daily, but I just got a new job, plus my car broke down and I had to replace the alternator myself last night... Just my luck to skip it... DAMN YOU TWITTER. Is that what attracted the massive hordes of buyers? I'm trying to limit my ever growing rage (at myself and social networking, mostly).

Of course its fairer. Would've been better if he said it ahead of time as well so I wouldn't have needed to keep refreshing and so people were clear that ordering earlier wouldn't guarantee an extra litho. My point is first come first served was assumed and now that he's kind of changing it is what I see unfair.
I think the key word here is "assumed". So in reality Jedi isn't changing anything. He never said how he is going to give them away... so in what way is he changing anything? IMO its your bad for assuming it was going to be first come first serve. I work nights and stayed up all morning to get a Normandy Litho. The Omega or IM litho is a bonus they are not owed to anyone just because you wore out the refresh key on your computer.
That being said. GL to everyone

It's basically a slap in the face for the people who did make the effort to order early/take the time but I guess better for the people coming in late.
Nowhere in his post did he mention it was a first-come-first-served kind of deal. That was your assumption, as you stated. You took a risk (and a small one since you were already there refreshing the page for the litho, I'm guessing?), on the hope that that was the case. That's cool; I'd have done the same had I known about it. But I don't see how deciding to make it a random drawing is a "slap in the face" to you. That sounds to me like a vast overreaction because you didn't get your way. Perhaps you should instead be thankful that there are some generous and awesome folks who have decided to give out freebies in the first place. Seriously, that's freakin' cool. But I suppose I should just shrug, throw up my hands, and say something like "well, you can't please everyone...".
On a different note, can anyone tell me if there have ever been reprints of any of the lithographs? The Normandy will be my first one (missed out on Citadel), and I'm just curious as I haven't really been following them. Have all of them, so far, been limited to a single run?

Yes. The point is they will forever be a single run. Citadel was a single run, but only part were originally sold. There may be multiple sales of the same lithographs, but they all come from one run.

Yeah, they have all been a single run. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but i do not think they are going to make a second printing of any of them. We have seen some come back in limited quantities from the ones they hold back in case of any damage claims. These have been very limited though and will usually go on sale after all the ones from the original sale have been delivered.

Edit: Yes they are all single runs, once they're gone they're gone. And there's usually a small amount leftover for damage claims so there is a second chance however slim it may be.

Not sure if that's a good thing since it means I'll still be collecting them now. These lithographs still have their teeth in me.

Just want to add, that to all of you that either missed out, or are new to this and don't know what's going on with printings. There is as has been said only a single print run of in this case 500. However, several are held back in case there are issues with prints getting damaged in shipping or something along those lines, and those will be sold in an additional sale at a later date. It's been between about 5 and 25 total prints that end up being sold, based on what's been available from the previous lithographs. So your not done yet.
And additionally, since Jedi magically found 10 prints that we all thought were gone forever from TIM and Omega, there is always another chance that a Normandy might surface down the road in some giveaway or other promotional vein. So don't give up yet, even if your Normandy print less. You don't have to turn to the darkside that is Ebay just yet.

Have any/all of the Citadels that were held back been sold off or given away yet?

"As also we some hold back inventory to cover any damages that will be released next month along with any adjustments to current orders."
So hope there wont be any damaged lithos being released, to get your second chance. (don't pm him, his inbox is flooded atm)
(edit: also. theres probably many lurkers in this thread ~ 250. thats approx. how much sold in the first few minutes of pre-order release. the other 150-200 we're snatched up via twitter feed. we are not alone! lol

@erik: If it's meant to be, you'll get your litho on the after-sale, so heads up.

Just have to say that I love my life and my lithos, especially after last night (it was evening/night for me) and the last pages of this thread. - Sure, the people in the ME Announcements are pissed right now, because apparently most of them never paid a visit here and weren't aware of the crowd and the pre-announcements, although some of us dropped a hint towards this thread here very often.

well from my point of view, we put the effort into scouring the boards ( I stumbled onto this quite by accident) and I took the time to keep tabs/learn about this litho community so that's how I ended up getting the Normandy. If you don't put the effort in how can you expect to get the reward?

I want to frame my lithographs and posters. I want to frame them to protect them but also to preserve them. I've heard about UV protected frames or something but am completely ignorant. What solution should I look for and also which is the least expensive/cost beneficial? Thanks!

If you live in the USA the craft store Michaels is great for framing. You can get both regular frames, which is what I did for my Illusive Man Litho, or custom framing, which a friend of mine did and was very satisfied. Usually they have cupons for 60ish percent of custom framing orders which helps with the price. They can do the fancy UV protection and anti-glare finishes if that's what your after.
