Just bought a Korlus litho.. damn jerks selling them for $150 on Ebay (w/o shipping) while I bought it from Bioware for $42.95 including shipping to Sweden

Edit: Lets see if I get the Normandy and Korlus undamaged :pinched:

You guys really need to lay off of Slim Charles. I was the one who bought the Illium litho from, I asked him to put it up on ebay because I did not have Paypal and wanted extra security. We came to a private deal here. He gave it to me for $250 + shipping, way less than he could have got on ebay.

I also know the name of his ebay account and he has never sold an other litho. I do not know why he told you he sold it for $350, maybe just to give you a more realistic market value.

WTF???

I just looked at the shipping date for the Korlus litho..

"Ships July 2nd - July 6th."

That's like a year from now!

Anyone knows why this is?

they meant this year... they just havent taken those dates down.

korlus just hasent sold that many so they still have some stock left over from before.

it will likely ship right away.

Thanks, thought it might be taking so long I'd forget about ever buying it.

Btw, why isn't Korlus popular? It's the facility where they created Grunt ffs :P
But I'd guess people go for the more symbolic lithos, like Normandy, Omega, Citadel and Illium.
Wards don't seem to be popular either.

This thread is getting big. Anyone wanna start a new one again?

I honestly don't know if this makes sense anymore. This thread here is not only filled with lithography-shop-related stuff it's about almost anything, even if there's a seperate thread for it and the asking member visited there, too. A new thread will fill as fast as this did. By the release of the next batch at the latest. (This sentence looks stupid, but I found no better solution.) And topics will be covered over and over and over again.

(Just to explain: I don't mind going off-topic now and then, but I am a neat person that desperately needs organized things. And repeating answers again and again when the same was answered only two pages before or even answered in an extra thread...) Maybe if the search worked properly...

So, we just could go on with this here and no one would even notice a difference.

@QuietRiot: There even is a greeting by Mikko Kinnunen in the ME Annoucements.

Well....I think keeping this thread is perfectly fine. It is the litho thread after all. If we do end up starting a new one, we should probably at least wait until the final rerelease of the Normandy Lithographs since they are one of the lithographs released and announced by through this thread.

And I agree with stardazzled. This thread also has information on frames, hues of the lithographs and which are better (go Collectors! ~cheers~ ), opinions on ebaying and so forth that people can go back and read without us posting in mass what we do or think again. If we make a new one, we will undoubtedly cover the same things again.

Too late, we already did so several pages ago. Image IPB

Don't worry. The former. ^.^ We usually do this very often.

Let this thread die or wait until there are new upcoming lithos before a new thread becomes necessary. When a new thread is warranted though, I'm all for trying to organize things as stardazzled opined and what makes the most sense to me would involve three separate threads:

1). Those new Lithographs! (ver. 3) - for discussion of the new lithos, fantasizing about future lithos, and your one stop shop for store related stuff like complaining about release schedules and being antsy about receiving shipments. All in all, Jedi's favorite home away from home on these boards :D

2). I care more about my lithographs than a living, breathing creature (working title) - for our collected knowledge of how best to store/frame/care for lithos and where people can post pictures of their babies. Also could serve as a place to discuss how they actually look in person as opposed to in thumbnail and which are people's favorites (like Beocat mentioned).

3). A litho transactions thread - doesn't really matter if it's icehockey's or shadowwolf's, just whichever one people actually seem to use. I think complaints and ranting about ebay vendors could have a home here as well, we'll see.

The first post on each thread would include a rundown of what it's specifically for and links to the partner threads, and theoretically we could minimize the clutter of repetitively covering the same things every couple of weeks.

Twin Lincolns deposited.

...oh snap. I'll never buy it but I'd like to see how high the bids get.

Beocat: Funny thing is I almost never check ebay. I was looking for a computer part when I decided to check the me2 lithos on a whim. Man, I want that thing so badly...

Lol...I wondered how long it might take to make it to the forums. I'm putting it on watch too. I won't sell mine, but I am curious ^_^

Erik, that's just wrong! I was hoping to bid on this one under the radar (like that would ever happen) Image IPB

The bidding on Illium is already that high with 3 days left?! Wow, these lithographs really are an investment...

EDIT: Oh yes, and quite a few months ago I started a Mass Effect lithograph group on the site. Anyone interested in joining the ranks?

Finally back in town. I am not even going to bother going through and reading all the nasty things you guys have probably said about me on these past few pages. I just wanted to say that one of the people I bought for already got one, so assuming my order goes through, I'd be happy to sell to someone who missed out ($30 + whatever shipping costs).

DB91, sounds like Erik212 is giving you an opportunity to buy through him, a fellow board member. Might be your only chance.

Oh, I get what you mean now Beocat. I wouldn't feel comfortable handling the amount of money that will probably the needed to buy it, plus if something goes wrong either I'm left with a big hole in my pocket or with a really angry buyer. I mean, if you really want it we can talk, but I don't want to be left liable for a few hundred dollars.

Yeah.  That's why I wrote "sounds like".  I'm glad you picked up on how it sounded too.

That may be the one of the last Ilium you are ever going to see for sale. You won't ever see another one ever.

Yeah, but at the end of the day it's ink on paper, and I don't believe spending the amount of money that I think is going to be bidded is worth it. I mean, I love Illium, and I wish I had it, but I'm not going to spend that much money on what will eventually just be something else on the wall. If I had tons of disposable income however, then I would probably consider it. My plan is to just wait a few years, until someone is moving or something and is trying to sell it at a time when less people will be looking for it.

Yeah, but at the end of the day. You could always know that you could resell and make your money back because I believe it will hold and grow in value. If I sold all my lithos, I believe realistically that I would make near tenfold what I spent... But I'm not selling any of my lithographs because I'm not in any money crunch. But I might sell my "extras" to those who I feel really want it. But not for wallet buster prices.
