Anyway, has anyone gotten this working with a second play through? It worked for me on the first play through. Got to 50, beat the game, all that jazz. What's cool is it definitely does save your shep as female (for ME2) because I loaded it up again with my now 50 shep and jenkins refers to her as "ma'am" instead of sir. But I tried to edit my new saved game (and I made sure to make the save immediately after talking to Joker and Kaidan). This time it doesn't work though. I'm guessing there might be new information in the saved game with a level 50 char instead of a level 1 char.

I guess I could play the game AGAIN, 1-60 (or as high as I can get), but I was hoping to just do 50-60. I've played the game before but 60 wasn't unlocked since I switched from the disc version to the steam version and had reformatted my hard drive.

I had to reset femshep back to sheploo just prior to the last fight with Saren in the Citidel, so that i could import the level 50 save, then setgender back to femshep for the first save of the 50+ play through, to get things to work right.

Edit: Kind of interested to see how things carry over to ME 3.

Yeah, that's been my experience as well. Though I played all the way to right before hitting the Eden Prime beacon before editing. Don't know if that makes a difference.

Thank you this was so much help; Now my male character doesn't have hook with that sexy xenophobic B!7<H Ashley(no offence Ashley fans, if it wasn't for xenophobia I would like here more), and I can hook with the dreamy pansy of a man Kaidan.

P.S. Can someone tell me what the appeal is for Ashley? I'm not trying to start anything(not trying to troll) I mean she is hot and has a kinda spicy Latina thing going for her, True.
P.P.S. maybe if she was alien with a different skin colour like I don'know les blue and her xenophobia was a plot point where you suppose to help her switch sides...to liking humans(...and perhaps women.)

Have you played any of the other versions of ME? because I've played through on the normal and the collector's edition of Mass Effect on 360 and I can't get Ashley to have a romance with a Female Shepard at all. What were your dialog choices to get this to happen?

What are you talking about? I've romanced her as a femshep 2 times now, and my game hasn't been modified in any way.

In case this matters at all. This is the platinum edition on the 360.

She grows over time if  you talk to her, she learns to see that non-humans are not all a threat. She becomes very loyal to her "Skipper." It's like any of the characters in the game, nearly all of them grow from where they started through the help and guidance of Shepard, well I should say Paragon Shepard, I can't ever seem to make it through a renagade play of the game. Though I really can't say the same for Kadin... he bores me as a character, he seems to remain the same character through out.

Hope that helps a little to clear up why some peope like Ashley beyond "she's hot," as for me it's the story and the characters that I find attractive not the pixials on the screen.

How do I know which version of Mass Effect I have and if that version will allow my femshep and Ashley have a romance? Btw, its for the 360.

So when they mean in the early versions of the game, they only meant for the P.C.? Well more reason I'm gonna cop ME2 even sooner on orgin only for $10 this week only tho...other games are being sold for 50% off as well.

It does work in the 360 version, I am playing a game now with mShep romancing Kaidan.  So far it is the same as the PC version with Meer's voice (thank god) in all scenes but cut scenes.  I've only come across 2 lines so far with no voice, just the subs come up.  I've been playing for a bit over 5 hours.  It is simple to do it for both Kaidan for mShep and Ashley for femShep.  I was thinking of making a thread with instructions on how to mod the 360 version if people were interested.

Edit: It works not only with NG+ plus saves but also custom Sheps.  You don't have to switch genders either, if you want to romance Kaidan, you make a manShep and femShep for Ashley.

yes they can...

in the original release on the 360, femshep could romance ashley. but they gained a little heat over it so all releases after that the option was removed.

uhmm no the Alpha/Beta only had the "romance for all" option ... after alot of heat dunno why it got removed before Gold status and the audio for those lines isnt "intregated" into the surroundings. FemSheps lines from the Romance scene with Ash are just overlayed and therefore also louder as heard here:
Secondly with the new Trilogy release hex Editing ur saves is no longer possible ME just says save game inaccesable. possibly due to the cloud storage.

I changed the file extension to just State.save,and compressed it into a zip folder, which I appropriately rename, and then I compare the first save and the new save and add everything that comes before PK from the old save onto the new save, save it, and then change the file extension from .bak to .MassEffectSave. Then I put the file into the save directory, and load up the game. I'm given a second save, and I can load it up, but I'm not addressed as 'sir' by any of the crew members pre-Eden Prime. What did I do wrong?

Since being a lesbian was available on Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 why didn't they change Ashley's personality or is Ashley has always been straight.
