Look at the infinete money glitch. I just found that works better and dosnt hurt your save games. Its basicaly double selling the Blood Dragon chest peice to a merchant for about 7gold profit each time and once you can get Evon the greats mail double sell that for like 20+ gold profit each time. This worked far easier and better then anything else ive tried and you dont have to worry about corrupting your save file selling potions or crystals to vendors.

Some tips to consider..
1. Dwarves (Except Gorim as a Dwarf Noble) are liars when they tell you you are getting a discount. Try other vendors to see who gives the best price
2. Save before buying anyspecialization book. Buy it and then restore. The specialization stays with you permanently for all games
3. Don't put points into crafting skills on your main character.. Save their points for Coersion or some other useful skills. make your team the crafters
4. Somewhere you mentioned returning to camp to change party members. You don't need to do this in most locations. Look for the button to request new group members.

Exception to point #3 if your playing a melee character one point into poisons allows you to apply any poisons to your weapon. Use Leilana or better yet Zevran to craft the higher grade ones. Also note dont ever apply poison to the sword "Blightblood" you get from DLC it will permanetly remove that weapons natural permanet poison attribute.
