Yeah, cause saving and reloading a couple of hundred times is just so much fun. Image IPB
It would be faster just to do another playthrough.

There is a glitch on Therum, just after the mining laser, where if you save/reload, that will give you repeated experience.   It's not really worth the effort.

Ended up reaching level 58 myself when my second playthrough was over and tbh, you don't need the extra resources & experience if that's what you're planning for by importing your character to Mass Effect 2. Plenty of XP & resources to go around in Mass Effect 2.

Thing is, I was told you'd start off at level 3 in Mass Effect 2 when you imported a level 60 character from Mass Effect 1 but when I imported my level 58 character I got the same bonuses as a level 60 character. Just saying.

If you're just looking to get to level 60, just start a 3rd playthrough and play till you hit 60. Then you'll get the achievement without having to complete another entire playthrough.

It's not just the resources. You also get more money, 300,000 credits. Since money is kind of short on the ground in ME 2 it does help. Also level 60 will let you start at level 5, not level 3.

I got ME the day it came out for the XBox 360. I have played it well over a dozen times, possibly a couple dozen times. I came close to reaching Level 60 once, being some 20,000 experience points shy at the end, but have never actually reached it. For some reason, I don't like replaying a character more than once even though it has its advantages to do so.

But now that I have learned that I can start ME2 with 300,000 credits, I must reach Level 60. Even though the Kasumi DLC makes buying every upgrade easier, starting the game with the 300,000 credits means I can buy them sooner.

I started my second playthrough at level 48, got to level 50 before the first story planet (so I have the 10% and 5% exp modifiers) and managed to reach level 60 JUST before the last boss. It can be done, just do EVERYTHING... and then some :P

Didn't use any of the glitches and played on the normal difficulty (if that affects exp). So happy right now :D

At 59 at the end of your second run, you can easily hit 60 at some point during your third run. In fact, that's exactly how I reached Level 60 with my main Shepard. It was about halfway through my thrid playthrough when the achievement finally poped up.

Yeah but i dont want to have a whole playthrough where i only go up one level, plus i'd have to do all the side quests again for my me2 carry over (i know u only get an email but i want them). And i boobed on two quests so should be better this way. But if i fail this time im gonna have to make it a third run i guess Image IPB

As you like. I really recommend that you do, though. Highly worth it, and you get awesome bonuses in both ME1 and 2 (if you import the character).

Doing every quest, but not worrying about killing out of the mako, I got 60 at virmire in my second playthrough.. you should be fine. There is easily 20k exp in the final Ilos/Citadel play.

I see that this thread is about 2 weeks old though so I guess you've got it? :P

If you're only halfway through level 59 when beginning Ilos, you won't make it. That's another 100,000 XP you'll need. Might I suggest doing Bring Down the Sky and/or Pinnacle Station if possible?

Had to start over, and yes I played through both dlc's. It doesn't matter though, as Christianson stated, its worth it. Mass Effect is an epic adventure worthy of numerous playthroughs.

If you have breaks in between then yeah it has plenty of replay value, but im growing weary! Especially if you want to do things 100%

Please let me do it this time lol

I was obsessive about doing every little quest, and I was 400 points short of 60 on the end of the second run. I started the new game (third game), talked to Pressley, and got the 400 points I needed. Don't forget to talk to everyone for those damn codex entries.

THANK YOU for telling me the name for "Bring Down the Sky" DLC because I keep forgetting the name of it! and i lost my character for mass effect 2 in a hard drive crash, so i had to start with a crappy 42 hour savegame, it's getting on my nerves pretty strongly, not mentioning the achievements >_<
