(Origins)

Just wondering, has it been fixed with the latest Xbox 360 patch, or can you level up to 25? Thanks.

Look, what IS this infinite XP glitch? Can you describe it? People don't know what you're talking about.

"n Ostagar during the mission Tainted Blood you are asked to collect three vials of darkspawn blood and the Grey Warden Treaties. Collect the three Vials of darkspawn blood first before the treaties and then return to the main camp where you will talk to Duncan. Choose the choice option "We have the blood, but not the scrolls." On exiting the conversation you will collect experience for the mission and can continue to collect experience for this quest by continually talking to Duncan. Once you collect the Treaties you can no longer exploit Duncan for experience. This is an easy way to level up early if you need to. Using this exploit will skew the levelling/experience of future recruited companions. Although the future party members will be of a comparable level to the Warden, they will not have any attributes to accompany that level."

HOWEVER, I just read the 2nd last and last sentence so I guess it isn't worth it.

Yeah, the glitch still works for the 360. (Unless there was some update in the past couple days that I didn't know about)

So, this exploit pretty much screws the game (alone PC is as good as dead).

I have to thank you - now I'll never have this bug.

Glitch still works, its only use is really to get the achivements for each class for getting them to level 20. For a real play of the game it really not suggested you do this UNLESS your planing a solo playthrough. The problem is all the companions you get will be auto leveled and have their attribute points and skills selections handled by the computer. Actualy make them weaker in essence. The only characters you will have control over are The Warden and Alistair so if your doinga solo game go for it since you still have control of your characters advancement. It will also intialy be difficult since your gear dosnt advance and the enemies does. Its far simpler to collect all your companions then do your allies turn in quests. Probably easiest is to either do the infinete money tricks and pay the 30g each turn in to Arl Eamons troops for exp every turn in. Or if you have the dahlish collect lots of elfroot from the merchant who has a infinete amount and turn that in to them for exp.

I see, thank you for clearing that up. I was originally planning on doing the glitch since I heard it's impossible to get level 25 on Origins alone, but if it will skew your teammate's attributes, then screw that.

Not so impossible most people end up around level 20 give or take due to rushing the game or poor choices to avoid fights and encounters instead of battle.  Its easily possible to get to 25 without glitching or cheating. Just dow hat I described abouve the turn in quests for your troops/allies supplies are reapeatable and give a good amount of exp. Try to focus on getting to around 23/24 before you do the final denerim siege battle and that whole scenario/endgame should give you the last level or two. Though you can simply do the repeatable quests earliaer to buff your party.  Again I say wait till you have all your party members or at least the ones you want before you start powerleveling. The computer auto levels them otherwise and it makes very very poor choices for attribute placement and skill selection.

If you want a quick boost though do the ostagar glitch but only gain like 4 or 5 free levels then play the game normaly. That wouldnt be as hurtful as going all the way to 25. It still can cause some problems if you plan to change characters classess around though. I myself am fond of making leilana a duel wield assassin and Sten a tank while I make Alistair a duel wield warrior etc.

Ah thank you, I just didn't know you could get 25 because I read the DA Wiki and this is what it said- http://dragonage.wik...wiki/Experience

In Dragon Age: Origins, the maximum level for player-controlled characters (the Warden and companions) is 25, which is reached at 186,000 experience points. However, there is currently not enough content to reach the maximum level through normal gameplay; the developers expect that most players will be level 15–20 if they complete the game and all the side quests, and level 17–22 if they complete all current downloadable content as well. Or I guess you CAN get 25 with random encounters, but since they're rare and low xp, it wouldn't be practical. But I'm not gonna mess with XP glitches anymore.

Anyone know a money glitch that still work?

You can turn in as much resources for your troops as you want. So if you really want to be lvl 25 this will allow you to achieve it.

Easiest way is to use a glitch. Get an item that is expensive. E.g. Blood Dragon Armor. Just the armor, not the whole set. Put it in junk, go to Bodahn in camp, quickly press Y and A nearly at the same time. You should get double money. Buy the item back, and repeat.
