I don't think I could play an Adept without Singularity on Insanity...it holds the enemy and slowly strips away their defenses. I wuv it!
Adept without Singularity, Soldier without Adrenaline Rush, Vanguard without Charge

My Vanguard had to go through the end mission without Charge, since it does not work properly. Was a breeze with Reave as a bonus power. Plays like a biotic soldier.

I have considered trying this for the vanguard at least. Use the bonus power for Barrier, and weave around cover. I liked doing that in ME1. It would be similar to playing an assault sentinel, but you would have access to shotgun + ammo powers from the start.

I would do it on Adept. Just take warp ammo so you can continue to strip during cooldowns. Then warp explode everything.
The only thing I really used singularity for was controlling husks. Take ap ammo to balance out your tempest and a few shots later, throw field them to their demise.
Stripping is key when playing Insanity. Once stripped, it all goes far easier

I played Vanguard on normal without using Charge, because at the time I didn't know how to properly use it. I was an Assault Vanguard instead, and had zero problems. However, when I switched to Insanity, because Vanguards have weak shields, it was overwhelmingly hard. I then learned to use Charge and Shotgun, and didn't have any more problems.
Could I beat insanity without Charge? Sure. Will I hate it, and give up because the game's no longer fun? Yes. Without Charge, Vanguard is just a weak Soldier. And that ain't fun.

They didn't need those cheesy powers in ME. Well there was singularity in the game, but it was mostly skill reliant.
