I dont have builds for all characters. Mostly the ones I keep with me. All powers are listed in roughtly the order of priority I give them

MIRANDA
Unstable Warp - 4
Area Overload - 4
Cerberus Leader - 4
Slam - 1

MIranda I take almsot everywhere. She can strip all defences, and combo with my or other squadmates for warpbomb; plus she buffs everybody's HP and damage (but in a way that stacks with ammo powers). Even slam sees use once in a blue moon for a really well timed warp bomb. The fact that she can boths trip shields and be a biotic is especially valuable on my current, adept, playthrough. Its been suggested to me, though, that if I wer smart, Id take Thane instead when fighting collectors, bloodpack, and other non-shield-using enemies. I will probalby try that ou


GRUNT
Concussive Shot - 2

The ammo power is great! once thats delt with I mostly want him to tank. and boy does he!


JACK

Pull to set up warp bombs; primal adept to amke it happen more often; and squad warp ammo becuase squad ammo powers are FTW. Shockwave I wish I didnt have to take. She's great with my current biotic Shepard - the three of us are tearing up the place.


SAMARA

Pull - 3 (left at 1 until the final levels)
Sapiens Justicar - 4
Reave- 4

Reave is easilly as awesome as people say it is, and she's an alterative to Jack for designated pull-user for warp bombs. Tried Morinth one time with essentially the same build, and was useful, but as fun as dominate is, Reave is better (plus, Samara doesn't try to eat my brain... damn succubus... *grumble*)


JACOB
Squad Incendiary Ammo - 4
Pull Field - 4
Cerberus Veteran - 4
Barrier - 1

Same use as Jack - setup warp bombs and grant ammo power, only worse due to lack of cooldown reduction and annoying tendancy to cast barrier when I want him to be using pull. Used in early game then replaced with Jack as soon as her loyalty mission is complete.


THANE
Heavy Throw - 4 (left at 2 until end of build)
Pull Field - 4 (Left at 1 until after leveling up Drell Assasin
Drell Assasin - 4
Shredder Ammo

Not really sure what I thinka bout him. Strategiclaly I mean. Chracter wise I love him to death, and definnataly would enjoy seeing more of him on missions.

I like her character so much I find excuses for her to come along. Area overload is great when I dont have overload of my own (on my sentinel playthrough I maxed Flashbang instead). Shadow Strike is just great fun in general.

Everyone else gets, essentially, whatever build seems like it will be msot helpful in the particular circumstances of completing their loyalty mission, and then never touched again.  Thining of putting effort into learning to use Legion well, though, just because it seems liek it would be hillairious to take him places.

I usually end up going 2/4/4/3 on most of my squadmates simply because 4 points to evolve abilites is a lot when most of them have longer cooldowns than yours and maxing more than 1 on a teamate is usually a waste than i find lvl2 and 3 of their other abilites a better option to take.

I really don't think kasumi gains as much from the passive as she loses from not having improved flashbang. personally, I always spec her that way and always have her on the team, unless i'm looking for warp combos or specific hilarious dialogue.

When I play Vanguard or Soldier, I never put any points into squadmate's ammo powers, except for Zaeed (I take squad Disruptor when I play Vanguard), because I  give them squad Cryo for the whole game.

This is usually what I end up with:
Miranda - Area Overload 10, Unstable Warp 10, Cerberus Leader 10, 1 point in Slam

Jacon - Pull Field 10, Cerberus Specialist 10, Heavy Barrier 10, 1pt unused

Mordin - Incineration Blast 10, Salarian Genius 10, then either max Cryo or Neural Shock (area versions)

Grunt - Concussive Blast 10, Krogan Pureblood 10, Heavy Fortification 10

Jack - Pull Field 10, Primal Adept 10, Heavy Shockwave 10

Garrus - Concussive Blast 10, Area Overload 10, Turian Renegade 10

Samara - Pull Field 10, Area Reave 10, Throw 3, Asari Justicar 6

Thane - Throw Field 10, Unstable Warp 10, Drell Marksman 10

Tali - Drone 6, AI Hacking 3, Quarian Mechanic 10, Area Energy Drain 10, 1pt unused

Thanks to Shadow Broker we can now respec squadmates, which means every squadmate has a full 30 points post-loyalty (and some even have 31 e.g. Miranda.) So now Thane can drop Shredder Ammo and Mordin can max Cryo Blast+Shields instead of Neural Shock+Shields if you wish.

Yes, this is a major change. As noted on another thread, this helps Jacob out a lot. Don't put a point in barrier, and he becomes a reliable source of biotic pull again.

In fact, this thread needs a major rewrite because of this new factor.

Whenever I'm a non combat character (so far just adept and sentinel) I almost always level up Grunt and Jacob to squad incendiary so I can get the benefits.

Miranda and her sniper companion (either Garrus or Thane, depending on the mission*) are probably the most useful squadmates for a Vanguard.  These squadmates all have strong defense-stripping capabilities, as well as additional crowd control that comes in handy, especially when things go wrong.



*Take Garrus against Blue Suns and Geth.  Take Thane against Blood Pack and Collectors.  Eclipse enemies use a mixture of Barriers and Shields, so use your discretion.  For example, on Miranda's loyalty mission there are a lot of Eclipse Engineers, making Garrus a better choice than Thane.

Here are my builds for Miranda, Garrus, and Thane.  Skills are listed in order mastered.
--Miranda: Unstable Warp (10/10), Area Overload (10/10), Cerberus Leader (10/10)... and 1 point in Slam whenever.
--Garrus: Area Overload (10/10), Turian Renegade (10/10), Concussive Blast (10/10... spec out of Armor Penetrating Ammo.
--Thane: Unstable Warp (10/10), Throw Field (10/10), Drell Marksman (10/10)... spec out of Shredder Ammo.

Hell, with respec'ing available with LOTSB, makes more sense to ditch it completely and shove it all in passive, pull and squad warp ammo.

Well, I only play Insanity and always take Jack in the suicide mission. As often as not, she knocks some Collector completely off the platform every time she uses shockwave. Give her team warp ammo and a Geth shotgun, and she gets plenty of chances to use it, too.

People put points in shockwave because you cannot max pull, passive and warp ammo. You have to put 3 points in shockwave to unlock pull no matter how many times you respec. Now the question is do you prefer do ditch area pull, max passive or squad warp ammo ?

I'd like to know how do you get the option for Morinth when doing Samara's loyalty quest. I've done itatleast 6 times, and have never had option available to pick one or the other he always auto. goes with Sam..I'm guessing has something to do with Ren points?
