Well it's not a fix per-say but it helps clean things up, so you can re-render the lightmaps, for some reason my lightmaps for my exterior level seam to currupt the first chance they get, which I've no idea why.
But I dygress, I wrote this batch file to clean things up following the advise of the BG2D teams tutorial on lighting;

Replace tags, with correct path names.
<USERNAME> = Your username
<LAYOUT> & <MODULE>
Save file as killjunk_module.bat, name really isn't that important call it what you will however .bat is important.

hey, thanks for sharing. I've added it to the tutorial (made a new page for deleting them). I adapted it for windows XP users who have different paths.
